Eastenders or Coronation Street

I used to prefer Eastenders but its has been a few years since I have watched either.

I am the complete opposite to you! I much prefer Coronation street. Enders is so drab, depressing and I just loathe Stacey. THe facial expressions she pulls are ugly ugly ugly. And they always seem to cast girls like her who rarlely smile and if they do its a sneer or a grimace! I liked Enders when Grant, Phil, Sharon and Cath were in it not to mention Tiffany! Remember her? Corrie by contrast is much more believable. We all know people like Norris, Charlie Stubbs, Eileen and Jason! Even if they are a little exaggerated. Give me Corrie any day,

Hi there TwinkleD I have to admit I much prefer the Northern soaps to Eastenders, mainly because the accents are absolutely AWFUL!!!! I am Kentish and am used to and speak with an Estuary accent and am also used to the so called London accent but sometimes I wonder where they get those accents from! They all seem to have very few words to say, but perhaps that is due to all the rushing here, there and everywhere that they all seem to do. Having said that, there are also some fine actors, especially in the older cast members and those are worth watching if I am channel hopping during their scenes.

I actually prefer Emmerdale. I hate Eastenders with a passion, the acting is dire, the storyline is boring. Coronation Street is excellent although it can be sometimes hypocritical, and some of the characters like Sean and Jamie are very irritating and need to be written out. Emmerdale has some great actors and actresses in it, the storylines go from strength to strength and it is addictive watching.
