do you think that you tube should do a better job of monitoring the site?because their are some people on it that will say things that they don't have the nerve to say in person.and some that say things that could send them to jail for making threats towards others.they don't know that they can be tracked and some day a nut job will kill somebody else about it.if you don't like a video just click on another video, don't get smart and say something rude or you could find yourself in a world of hurt.even people in prison have access to the web and might get even when they get out.so as they say a good rule of thumb is not to say things that you wouldn't say in person.i know that this is probility wasted here as the morons won't come to a site like this because you need to think when your here.some dumb people will post pictures on their page there that can also cause you problems and go nuts when they get reported.if their parents would know about this they would take away the computer from them.i don't go there much anymore because i've found many better sites that do moniter the site and won't allow the kind of conduct that is allowed there.

i think they should provide a better job monitoring..Even it is visible enough in all their fields that revenues are great for them? they must have done their social responsibility to their viewers.. they must perform moral obligations too.. some videos there give a negative feedback to the viewers.. especially those innocent watchers like kids? or teens who freely can view all there.. so this give or contribute as a big influence to the viewer too..

I agree that the site should be more carefully monitored because there is no restraint to some of the views expressed there. I’ve seen swearing and abuse and, in my opinion it is far from acceptable considering that a lot of younger kids view the site regularly. I don’t go to YouTube often but I have heard that if enough people report abuse admin will deal with the members who are doing the wrong thing; I’m not sure if this is right because it seems to me that there still are a lot of inappropriate comments posted.

I don't think they do much monitoring at all. With the volume of videos uploaded per day, I supposed they don't have the manpower for it. They should have a program or something that screens submitted videos before approving its release to the public. They're not very diligent or responsible about the site. They simply have guidance and rules for formality's sake. They're more concerned with copyright infringement whatnots than censorship of improper or offensive videos (comments also). I think they just rely on users being vigilant about reporting.

But it's also freedom of speech, and it's hard to monitor the site since it is a free site. Maybe the parents should take a little more control and block the site, I know if I had a kid that's what I would do.

I think they should do a better job, yes. There are a lot of inappropriate comments and content that shouldn't even be there. Kids can access youtube as well and sometimes comments are full of profanity and I wonder why those types of stuff aren't removed. I think youtube is intoxicated with the money that they're earning that they dont seem to care much about those stuff. What they care more about is the revenue sharing that is on their site. They actually focused more on getting deals with the major entertainment companies to have their videos on the site for profit sharing.
