Did you enjoy school or hate it?

Did you like to go or try to avoid it? What did you like or dislike about it? Was it the school environment in general or specifically the teachers, some of the other kids, the peer pressure, the lessons? Do you keep in touch with the people you knew at school or, if you hated it, cut them out of your life completely? Do you wish you could go back and, if you could, what would you change?

I quite liked it when I was at school. I thought the buildings were lovely. I especially liked the oldest looking building. I adored the school grounds because they were really large. They included grass playing fields, a playground and many trees. I did well in the subjects that I enjoyed like English, History, Religious Education, Geography and Art. I did very poorly in the subjects that I hated like Maths, Science and Physical Education. I liked many of the other students and most of the teachers. I didn't like the peer pressure. I didn't like how strict the head teacher was. I was scared of the deputy head teachers. I wouldn't wish myself back there. If I could have changed anything I would have wanted the History teacher Mr C and the English teacher Miss P to be been able to control the class of students.

My primary school was an old Victorian building which was really lovely but the secondary school was concrete and glass but, oddly, far more creepy. Perhaps because the primary school was nice and the secondary school just seemed to ferment hostility.

I enjoyed going to school . I only hated waking up early in the morning. There had been some favoritism by teachers and peer pressure but I got along just fine. There were ups and downs but the ups outnumbered the downs. I still keep in touch with the peoople I met when I was in school some have remained close friends. I don't think I want to go back anymore since I'm tired of studying already.

The same to you.I really hate getting up early, especially in winter. But after I graduated, I find that I miss the time which I spent in school.

Sad to say that I have lost contact with all my friends from school. But I have heard that people can reconnect with old high school buddies on social networking sites like Myspace and Facebook. I didn't mind high school at all. I worked hard in it.

For the most part, I had always enjoyed school. There were times when school was difficult, but i look back on it as a growing experience. If some things had turned out differently in schhool, would I be the same person today? I give credit to my school years as an enjoyable time in my life.

I thoroughly enjoyed my days at school.THe only thing which bothered in those days was to get up early from bed.I hated that.maybe because i joined professional course right after my school i really dont know or i havnt enjoyed a college life.so all my sweet memories of friends, classrooms, teachers, etc come from my school.no doubt..those days were beautiful.thanks for reminding me of those days.i dont think anyone would hate school days (maybe a few exception)

Hey I think school days were the most fun filled days of my life.Who can forget the kicking of the dirt on the way to school, the waiting at the bus stand and hoping that the bus doesn't turn up,waiting the whole week for the 2 game classes, standing outside the class as punishment for more than once in a day. They truly are the most amazing days of my life. And the best part about school was the friends you have there.Everyone is innocent and we are still untouched by the hardships of life in school,so one gets the best friends from there. Yes I have contacts with many friends from my school.Infact some of them are the ones on whom I rely upon in my hard times.

I loved school when I was a child, especially secondary school. I think the latter was better for me, due to the greater variety of subjects with specialised teachers. I did experience peer pressure, but mostly avoided it by only having two friends. I loved studying & I got along well with the teachers. My school was in a very poor area & most students didnt do that well. I only keep in touch with one friend from high school. I ended up doing a teaching degree & taught for 22 years.

I have been graduated from school over a year, when I was in school, I don't like school, I was looking forward for weekend every week, and hate the homework. And now I graduated over a year, and I miss school life so much. I miss my teachers, and my classmates, and I also miss the homework I think school life is the most beautiful part in life, and we don't need to worry about the future, don't need to worry about the money, we can just focus on school things

Well friend, I liked school and I did not like school. Since Primary lebvel to grade 7 I loved school but I do not know what followed I suddenly started an aversion towards school. One year went off without any schooling and thereafter I started loving my school specially because of one of new teachers. And there after no looking back and now I am on the verge of achieving my doctorate.

I enjoyed going to school. We did not have to get up to early about 7:00am which was not to bad. There were some subjects that I like and were very interesting. I did like some of the teachers that I had in school. I also like going to the sporting events and dancing at the school.

i loved to go but not because of classes so much but because it was a free ride to a library every day :) there were a few classes i loved though. science and reading classes were my favorite until i got to high school then horticulture and psychology took over but psyche was more because the teacher was hilarious than anything else. i do talk to some of my old school buds but only through facebook for the most part as they are mostly far away these days. if i went back i would make the library bigger of course and cut out th whole football part of gym class. and remove algebra oh how i hated algebra.

I enjoyed school. I just didn't like some of the people I went to school with. I also thought some of the rules were radical like if you didn't have a black ribbon in your hair, you'd go to detention. I wouldn't change a thing though because so far I think I've learnt well through my experiences regardless of whether they're good or bad.

in my elementary days, i really dislike school..everything about school...teachers, lessons, homeworks, projects, even my classmates. i'm always absent. i just want to play or stay at home. i cannot focus on my lessons..that's why i got low grades. in my earlier high school years, i still cant stand peer pressure. i'm always conscious about my looks, my things,. i'm always shy so in every class participation, i cannot give my time, suggestions, ideas because i am always so shy to try. i 've only started to like school in my latter years in high school. i suddenly gained my confidence, i do good in my projects, my exams. and for that i started to gain the respect of my classmates. i became popular because i was always in 2nd or sometimes the first in our top 10 students in class. Even in class/school programs i am always chosen to participate and i do ir with flying colors. i don't why i suddenly change but the change gave me confidence...i think i'm just a late bloomer....

I hated school. I hate social studies and science. It was the teachers they don't teach you anyting. Yes I wish I went to a private school to learn more. I would change my grades.

I hated my school years! I didn't do very well in school although I'm trying to make amends now! I wasn't bullied as such but I guess I was always one of the quiet ones that sat at the back of the class. I don't keep contact with anyone from my school years, this is quite a sad thing but that's life I guess. I wasn't Mr popular as it were and when you are like that you find it hard to sustein relationships or friendships. I'm just glad that my school years over and I wouldn't want to repeat them. Andrew

...Hi hvedra, I had a decent time in school, I was younger than most of my peers, but I fit in okay. I really like to learn, and I love books. I found out that I enjoyed going to school after I graduated high school more than before. I find the classroom environment very interesting, all of the students or most of them bring their experiences to the class and it expands the learning experience beyond the subject being taught by the teacher. Take care.

I hated it while I was there..I missed it when I had to leave.. Losing all the friends that I once had was probably the hardest thing. From moving out of town or going to different colleges....sucked...
