How do I know if I responded to you already or not???

I have been responding to a lot more discussions lately than I have in the past and as I search other discussions, I often think did I respond to this discussion already or is this a different one with the same or similar subject? Now I know you can go under the responded tab but sometimes that becomes to much to search through to see if that is that one you are looking for or not. Is there a way to know if you responded to a certain discussion without looking through the responded tab? If not wouldn't it be nice it mylot added such a feature like maybe a asterisk or a star above the discussion that way we can be sure that we responded to a certain discussion already? Who runs things like that for mylot and is there a place or a person we can go to to make such a suggestion?

The main problem comes when there are discussions on almost the same topic with similar headings. That is when I have to search for my response. Otherwise I remember the discussions I have responded to and do not have any such problems.

Going through 12 pages will take a lot of time. There is no easier way to know whether we have responded or not. You will have to keep track of the 'the discussions I've responded to' tab. Also there is no way in which we can know where we have only commented in a discussion. There is nothing in the site which will take us to the discussions where we have only commented on a response.

Same here, that is what sparked this discussion because I knew I had responded to a discussion like the one I was looking at but though it was started by some one else so I had to go in and search for me which wasn't a big deal only this particular discussion had 12 pages worth of responses and it took a little bit to search through the pages only to find that I hadn't yet responded, I just thought maybe there was an easier way. Thanks for your response sagnik

I don't know I only look at the responded tab. But more or less you can remember all the topics that you participated on. And when you opened the topic too you can also see there if there is already a response that came from you if you browsed on the whole topic...

That is what I normally do or either that I will go into that certain discussion and see if I am in there or not but at times that can become too much and take up to much time especially when there have been a lot of comments/responses on that certain discussion. Thanks for your response lovelyn

It seems to me that you responded to many discussions a day for you to totally forget the topics you participated on. Well, that is good... Anyway, even if you have commented to that topic already, no worries, anyway I am sure your answer to that topic is not a complete duplicate of the first comment that you give... The second comment of yours will going to be or serve as an additional comment...

I have a habit. That is after I responded to a discussion, I will rate the discussion positive. So if I read this discussion again, there will be "rated" in red for this discussion. I will know I already responded to it. I love China

That seems to be how many people do it and are able to keep track of their discussions and it sounds like a good plan. I am terrible at rating discussions but I now realize that if I wasn't that I probably wouldn't have any problems with remembering which discussions I have responded to and which I have not. hi froggieslover when I have the feeling I may have already responded to a certain discussion I just read through all the responses and voila if I have, it will show up maybe on page three but it will show up then I will not respond again. that is the quickest way to find out if you have a feeling you have already responded to a particular discussion.

That is what I have been doing but there are sometimes when it gets to be a bit much to look through all of those pages sometimes. I haven't reached a point yet where I have responded to the same discussion twice but there may come a time when I do especially with the ones that I responded to awhile back and have since forgotten about. LOL Thanks for your response Hatley

What I do is look to see if I rated the discussion, and if I did, then I know that I have responded to a discussion. That is one way, if you do rate the discussions. It is the easiest way I know to make sure you don't respond to the same discussion again. When I find that I haven't rated the discussion, then I know that I never responded to the discussion, that way, I won't respond more than once to the same one. I have done that before by accident. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

That is what was suggested above and I think it sounds like a good plan on how to keep track when your not 100 percent sure if you already responded to a discussion or not. I don't think there is anything wrong with responding to a discussion twice by mistake other than the sure embarrassment LOL Thanks for your response rosekiss

Hello Froggie. I don't know if there is any other way then to look at the discussion and see if you rated it already. If it has been rated it will mean you probably responded to that discussion. That would be great if they would put some kind of mark at the top of the discussions so you wouldn't have to look all the way through each discussion. You can contact my lot at the bottom of each page there is a place to contact them. When you get to it go to the bottom of the page where it will say other and tell them your suggestions I don't know if it will help or not but good luck anyway. Hope this helps you some. Hope you have a great day!

I am terrible at rating discussions although I know I should because it helps out other members, I try to at least make sure that i respond to the comments I get and to also choose a best response and here lately it seems like I am getting behind on that as well. I will try to remember to rate more of the discussions that I respond to and that is at least one way that can help me. Thanks for your response free_man

Hi Froggie. I do like to rate the discussions it gives me a new out look on things. I love reading the responses of others and while I am reading them I rate them. I think it gives me some new knowledge of others on here. Hope you have a great day!

Once in while I respond to one twice because I don't want to go through all the pages to see if I already did. If you want to make a suggestion, use the 'contact' link down at the bottom of the screen. I can't say as I've ever seen anybody's suggestion be implemented though.

I will go ahead and try it and see what happens at least I think it would really help if they could add a feature like that so we forgetful people wouldn't be so confused any longer LOL Thanks for your response dawnald

For me as of right now, the only way that I check to see if I've already responded to discussions is to scroll through them and make sure that I don't have a response already on that discussion. The thought of a feature that would be able to notify you in the threads that you've already responded to that discussion by using some sort of a notifier is a great idea and one that I think should indeed be passed off to admin so that the change could be made. What a great idea you've got here.

I think I am going to go ahead here in a few and try to send off this suggestion to the administrators. Like I said before I also scroll through all of the comments on discussions but it would be so much more simple if there was a feature...maybe they will make such a change if a few of us were to go in and make this suggestion that maybe they will add this change..or we can hope LOL Thanks for your response dorannmwin
