I only turned my notifications on about a month ago. This is not happening to me. But I have identified at least 4 friends where I have notifications turned on and I do not get the notifications. So something is wonky somewhere...

I can't really be sure! I think there was one person that I didn't have as a friend but has come into my inbox. I know others have had this problem. I don't know what's going on with the notifies but maybe this is something mylot needs to turn off for a bit and try to figure out what's going on. IF we can get a hold of them. I think they are part of a bigger organization so I suppose those who run mylot don't have much time on their hands. OR with cut backs, maybe mylot has suffered employees!

Well, I don’t know really coz for the past few days (or maybe more), I’ve not been sort of inundated with notifications about my friends starting new discussions! In any case, even before when my inbox used to be full of them, I just deleted them after a cursory glance…every time I log in here, I invariably visit my friends list to see what I can reply to…so reading all the notifications was not that necessary. Even then, I did notice the slump in the numbers but when I visited my friends list, frankly speaking there were not many new discussions either! So I thought less notifications was kind of normal…but now that you say this, I ‘ll give a better look.

There are many notification I received daily but this is from my response in different person that I have commented yesterday...The other is mylot digest discussion in different categories...

That is very strange. Perhaps you should just turn off all notifications for a while and use the friends started tab and then try and reset your notifications later.

You're confused Cynthiann, that made no sense at all my dear. You've been receiving notifications from those not on your friends list, do you mean others that you've responded to who weren't on your list? Are you getting someone elses notifications? Maybe you're getting some of mine as I've no idea where they go. If there's too many there you need to cull or kill.

I don't have notifications switched on for ALL my friends, but I do receive them for those I have switched on. I always start with "friends started" when I log on, so I'll catch them all anyway. I've never received notifications from anyone not on my friend list.

I've never heard anything so bazar??? No problems here !

I have NEVER received notifications of discussions from people who are not my friends, but there does seem to be times when I know people who are my friends and I don't get any, or at least some of the notifications - weird...

I don't understand why they can't get this problem worked out for u. I know it must be very frustrating to u. I have never had any problem like this but know i would be ill as the devil about it. Hope they get it worked out soon.

The only thing that I notice happening is on my friend's list the notifications get turned off a lot for some reason. Then I have to go through page by page and turn them all on again. Have no clue why this happens.

It is all a bit confusing. I receive many notifications but not all of them. I was told a while ago that if someone turns their notifications off you won’t receive them either which is strange but it kind of explains why I receive some and not others and the ones that never arrive are from specific people. I have never written to MyLot about it because I just dealt with it by responding to my email notifications and then I’ll go to the ‘friends started’ tab and check there. I have no other explanations...Sorry...

I certainly not sure what happen, mine is work. It was happening once time, notifications become late arrive on my mail. I need to test it in somewhere and find the solution.

Actually I don't understand what you mean in this msg. Do you think that mylot delete your list or your friend turn you off without notify you?

It's not happening to me now, but it has happened to me before.

It's only happend twice since I came on mylot...otherwise I get my notifications....so I guess I am lucky...hope you get it straightened out!

hi cynthiann It is probably just another glitch as I have received a huge number of notifications and I assumed they were all from my friends, I did not really check,but had to delete most as I only have so many hours in a day to respond even here. there are programs I must attend here too as well as mylot. Since my son gummed up something so I cannot work from my email i have to go into discussions my friends made any way.hope it straightens out for you.
