hi there, i like a lot of kind of music, expecially OST from anime or soundtracks from some films like pirate of carribean on the lord of the rings, i like a lot rock music and metal. I like to listen to rock and metal when i'm happy or i need energy beacause some songs can act on my body and give me strenght. The songs that can act on my body are a lot, and their consequesces are various. What about you my friends? do you have songs that can act on your body or your emotional state? does this state influece the kind of music you listen in dereminated moments? thank you guys :)

I agree with you, music is all about emotion. Even music without vocals. If you are feeling happy and then listen to two hours of sad music, Im almost 100% sure you wont be so happy after those 3 hours. : )

I love to listen to Pearl Jam, but whenever I do it makes me really, really depressed! So even though I like their music, I try to stay away from all of their music. Even their new, inspirational song "The Fixer" makes me think of all of their other, not so good ones. So I only like to listen to their music after I break up with a guy!

most definitely. i find that when i am excited or feel really good i like to listen to upbeat music like rock or jazz and when i am tired i like to listen to classical and when i am feeling nostalgic, i like to listen to big band.

This is hard for most people to understand, but I do not much listen to music. In my community we are fortunate to has a free service from the cable TV called Music Choice that has lovely nonstop soundtracks of classical, light classical, easy listening, show tunes, and all of those other genres (except I am not sure about the anime--that we might not have), and I guess if I were sad or bored or just had time on my hands I would turn it on and listen, but then I would not be doing something else and using the music as a background. I would be 100% listening to the music, and for some reason I just don't seem to have time to do that a whole lot, as there are so many interesting places to go and things to do. I guess I am just more visual and than auditory. I do however, like to sit down at the keyboard and try to play music from time to time. If I did more listening I would probably be better at playing, too.
