WMG isn't even AFFILIATED with ANYTHING they are trying to copyright claim! I want to take them to COURT! Bunch of a$$holes! I haven't made any videos in awhile but I decided to start up again so I made two. My first one got muted due to the copyright issue and I'm waiting for my second one to upload right now. FRUSTRATING!! If you can't tell, I am just fed up with all these hoops you have to jump through in order to get anything done. What have we done to ourselves? Why can't we just do things without having to deal with so many other people???

Well, everyone wants to make sure they're the ones making the money off of whatever they own. I can't say I've encountered similar issues but I think many people share your frustrations. I noticed while browsing videos on youtube that a lot of stuff gets taken down or muted like you said.

i think you're right about that, they prefer making money in the music they composed or they were authorized that they have actually right to claim the music that they put in our videos. what frustrates me more is that they even deleted anime videos that i have added in my playlist, and i can only see a few. i think they should limit the rude commenting instead of focus more on the videos.

Great point there about the rude comments. And society wonders why we have foul mouthed kids, when it is Society that fails to moderate popular websites.

hello mommyboo, can i add you there in youtube, mines ryancute22. I have been a member since 2007, and back then, they don't even mind if the others are using any kind of music. i don't really know this WMG thing but it has taken course to replace sounds in some of my videos as they claimed to be copyright violation. this has started this year, which is because they have become more popular than ever before and it's really irritating to boot, of course i wouldn't complain since i lost my computer now and i can't replace the videos anymore. . i think we should be careful now in using music in our videos, a lot more had been deleted this year

I was under the impression that a YouTube member was only allowed to post videos that they themselves have taken, or they have been granted written permissions from the person who owns the copyright. Copyright laws are so complex these days thanks to the internet. I always ensure I only ever post what is mine online, or if I am talking about something specific that isn't mine, I give full credit to the owners and link back to them.

I'm not sure. I think it's called progress but the only ones that seem to benefit from this crapola is lawyers
