Best Soap?

I love Eastenders, never watched it from the very begining, simply, cause, I had no
idea it on, the moment, I found out, I've been enjoying the show, ever since.
It never fails to amaze me, with great story lines, funny clips, not true, Eastenders, concetrates more on the serious side, they have had many light, funny moments over the years, take, the relationship between, Heather, Shirley, for instance, great one linners, between both of them, deep down, they really care about
one another.
What Eastenders, does the best, to keep a story line going, like, when they did one
episode just about Peggy, Pat, you learn, how they were great friends, why, they fell out, it was so, good, I wanted, to see more of their younger selves, the way, they used to be towards one another.
Max, Phil, Jack, probably, my favorite men, the bad boys as some might label them.
Although, I'll be sorry to see Peggy, (Barbara) leave next year, the show is never
just about the one person, everyone, it do great with the cast who are left, at her
age (not old) I think, she deserves a rest, having been in Eastenders, for years,
given us some great performances.
No other soap, has the same impact for me, its entertaining, factual, funny, so much more. Being, an Eastender, myself, I can identify with a lot of the story
lines, it is, why, Eastenders, wins the soap awards ect, people vote for the best show.

I used to watch a whole variety of soaps; Eastenders, neighbours, coronation street, emmerdale farm etc though I went off of most of them. Occasionally I still watch neighbours though always watch eastenders. I think for me it is the characters that make me continue to watch. I have actually seen many episodes from when it first started as years ago it was repeated on sky and I do admit sometimes I think the storylines are much better back then than now though obviously the storylines are still great otherwise there wouldnt be such a huge following.

As a guy I dont watch many soaps, if at all, except for The Bold Amd The Beautiful. It just has the most unbelievable and ridiculous story lines you could think of. It's just hilarious to watch. Everyone is related to everyone and has had a relationship with everyone and there is so much scheming. Plus the gazing off camera looks are great and the fact doors are always left slightly ajar so someone can listen in on secret conversations. Priceless.

My favourite soap is "Desperate Housewives". Unfortunately, it has long time gaps between series. I was loaned the box set of Series 1 about three years ago and have been hooked ever since. For me, Desperate Housewives has all the ingredients of a good soap; convoluted plots, strong and memorable characters, someone to love, someone to hate and just when you think you know what's going to happen next, there's an unexpected twist that sets the brain cells into action, wondering, "How did I not see that coming?"
