An impeachment bill has reportedly been introduced in the legislature in South Carolina, to impeach Governor Mark Sanford. Do you think the Governor should be impeached and removed from office? Should adultery be a reason to remove a public official from office?

I think it's long over due if he was a real man he would have step down on his own, without having to be forced out, what gall? There seems to be no shame in this day and age anyone who does wrong seems to think that it's okay to lie, cheat, steal, etc. I just glad that South Carolina has come to their senses and is trying to rid themselves of this political embarrassment, I know about political coruption and corrupt politicans because I'm from Lousiana......

...Hi sirnose, I think politicians should realize that they are supposed to be role models in society, especially when they have young children as Governor Sanford does. I also think that it is up to the people who elected these public officials to let it be known if they should be put out of office for something like this. This will also be decided I think based on how many friends he has and what kind of job he has done for the people of South Carolina. My thought is that he will lose his job. Divorce will probably follow, the ex Mrs. Sanford will run for office and be elected. Louisiana has had it's share, most recently the embarrassment of Rep. Jefferson and his cold hard cash. Take care.
