I guess this question is mainly for Aussies, New Zealanders, UK & various countries in Europe as these are Aussie shows.
I don't have a favourite out of the 2 & tend to watch both...I guess this is out of habit as I was about 8-10 years old when they started up in the 80's here in Australia. I have watched them since the beginning & I guess I still watch them more out of habit than anything.
I don't watch them religiously but when I'mhome, I do watch them...I'm not that bad tough coz if I miss a show or 2, it doesn't bother me & I don't record them & if there is something on another channel that I want to watch, I will watch that instead of my nrmal show.
So my questionis...if you are a fan of these shows, do you have a preference or do you like both?

Wow, are those two shows still going each night? I have not seen either of them for years and years! I do not watch TV of an evening so I am not up to date with what is on anymore. I spend too much time here on the computer to do anything else...LOL If I do watch TV, then it is more likely to be later at night, when the kids are in bed and usually Foxtel, rather than free to air TV!
My favourite out of them was Neighbours as it was filmed in Melbourne where I grew up and could relate to it more I guess than a Sydney show!
I even went to the street that it was filmed in once, it looked way bigger on TV! From memory, I think there were only 4 houses in the tiny court in real life! They have security guards that are stationed there full time I believe too!

Yeh, they are both still going strong...don't think the shows will die any time soon...It so wouldn't surprise me that the set looks bigger on tv & can understand that there are security guards there 24/7 to protect the REAL residents of Ramsey Street lol

I am not sure if the guards are there to protect the residents, mainly the nice neat gardens and the street from hoons doing burnouts in it I think...LOL

Habit is the word! I have watched these two shows since they started and although I like both of them, if I had to choose, it would be Home & Away. It seems to have better story lines than Neighbours, and hold my interest longer.

That's true but the current story line about Libby, Dan & Susan is good at the moment on Neighbours & about Sunny & Zeke.
