Well I am on the move!

Sorry to all my friends for not being around and not updating everyone until now. But little one has been sick, rushed to ER with fears of swine flu, gladly it wasn't. Then I have been sick. And just yesterday my daughter had what could have been a seizure since I wasn't there I can't say for sure. Well I got the money to move! I know some of you may be lost so I will include my last discussion NOT A REFERRAL LINK http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2174481.aspx So they let us move in with $750 instead of the $1,300 because they are going to pay my insurance for the trailer for a full year! WOW My closing date is Friday so I will be moving in this weekend. I have been packing since we found out we got approved for the loan now I just have to kick it into HIGH gear big time! And since hubby is working all the time I am going it alone. Also the Health Department came out and tested for Mercury and the Fire Department came out and tested for Carbon Monoxide both were negative. As the Health Department guy was leaving he left his card and said "Well if you think of anything else call me and I will try to help" Well it seems like to me that that is it,they are giving up. Since there is no way for anyone to get a formaldehyde tester I suppose since I am moving they are done. I am excited and already wiped out. I hurt my arm the other day and since little one is home today it is not going to be easy to pack. Plus I am selling a ton of stuff since I am moving into a smaller trailer that we are in now. So on one hand someone came out and tested and on the other hand I fear for others that move in here. What do you think?

Good luck in your new place, may it be much healthier for your daughter. I hope this takes care of the problem for you. What is the big deal with them getting a formaldehyde tester anyway? Does it cost a million dollars or something?

Maybe it costs a billion who knows. I have gotten the run around so much I feel like a dog chasing it's tail

kickbacks from the mobile home manufacturer to the health dept? just kidding... Sometimes the agencies that are supposed to take care of us just get bogged down in red tape and who knows what.

Well, it sounds like things are finally going good for you or at least they are moving in the right direction. I was worried that I hadn't seen you on here much lately, but I figured that it was because you were too busy trying to get things ready to move. I am very sorry to hear that you and the little one have been sick. I hope that you are feeling better now. Take care of that arm and don't try to do too much at once. I know that is easier said than done, especially when you are trying to get everything ready for a move. I am not sure what to say about the testing. It seems strange that they have tested for everything and nothing has shown up, since you are obviously having problems. I did read somewhere recently that formaldehyde can cause a wide variety of symptoms, so maybe that is what the problem is. I hope that the next occupants do not have similar problems, but I do not think there is anything you can really do about it at this point.

I was a bit upset over the whole Health Department thing. But what is done is done and I will be praying for whomever buys this place after us. I have been very busy and today at 4 we close so I donno when I will be back online as the company I am using now doesn't provide service to that new place which is only 7 minutes down the road so if I am not around don't forget me

I definitely won't forget you, especially since I have been missing you so much since you have not been on a lot lately! I understand, but I still miss you! Unfortunately, I know all too well how that works with no service just a few minutes down the road. For my daughter to call her friend about homework assignments, it was a long-distance call that we had to pay extra for! They went to the same school and literally lived no more than five miles (if that) down the road from us. It was ridiculous! I hope everything goes well with the move, and that you get settled in and back on-line quickly. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers during this transitional period. Until you are back, I am sending you a huge bear hug that will have to last until you are able to make your way back to us. Try to make it soon, though, alright hon? *HUGS*

Hopefully you will get moved and move on with living and not have to worry about things. Unfortunately, it does sound like they are done. I cannot believe they did not check for mold. Good luck with everything.

Yea they told me I would have to pay for the mold testing myself and I can't do that. We spent all we had to get this new place. Oh well hugs

I know that you started this discussion a few weeks ago, but I just found it and want to say that I sincerely hope and pray that things are getting better for you and your family. If you haven't found a way to get help with your utilities, you may want to talk to your local churches. Sometimes, when no one else will help, a church will step in and lend a hand. I truly hope that this move will help you and your daughter. As you said, it is a bit worrisome for anyone who may choose to move into your old home, but all you can do is to do your best to let people know what you nad your family have gone through living there. I wish you all the best. Hang in there, sweetie, you are doing a wonderful job, and there is light at the end of this tunnel.
