Yes , i have tried windows 7 and the look is great .the browsing speed and other gadgets are awesome and it is more stable than xp and vista.
but...,
it requires more ram , higher processor speed and some latest graphics cards.
where as xp can be run on virtually on any system.
so for those who are looking for new system windows 7 is the one.
For someone who has aged pc like me ,

XP will lives on only for few more years, Microsoft officially announced that they will stop XP support in short period after they released Vista. And now with Win 7 released they will surely stop XP support - that mean no more drivers, updates, compatible programs, etc. This is made with purpose - to make everyone buy new hardware :)

If you just using it for work, internet and watch movie or simple game, its worth to upgrade XP to 7. But I dont feel any special from 7 sonce I'm hardcore game. It need more memory to load the game, and I have turn off all the services of 7 to play it smoothly like in XP. So if you have at least 4GB ram and Core i7 proc. then go ahead -_-

Hi, onlinemelvin! Welcome to myLot! I am using Windows Vista on the this Acer Aspire 5515 laptop. It works wonderful for me.. It is like a newer version of Windows XP. I hope that you find some relief from your Windows.. You may need to switch to a better version if it is causing your problems.

Windows 7 is really good, better than the rest. you just need to update your software to make them work in the trial version.

First of all windows 7 is the better version of Vista. Since Vista was too heavy for most PC's Microsoft decided to use a lighter version without losing it's efficiency and they made Windows 7. Windows 7 compared to to Windows XP is same as Windows 98 to Windows XP. I am using Windows 7 on one of my computers at home, I find it really well performing and easy to handle. Also it have real good security options.

windows 7 is really fast. better than xp. but as microsoft will start phasing out xp, it's really better idea to switch to win7, although some programs will not work in 7. an alternative solution ms provided to solve this is virtualization of xp within win7. thats so u can still have ur favorite programs. but(yea, but again) not all intel processors supports that feature. if you're one of those, you'll need to buy new processor if u want to keep those programs. overall, win7 is definitely alot faster than xp or vista.
