Like I love Beauty and the Beast. I have read many versions from other cultures, I even wrote my senior paper on it. The different themes or lessons from each. Re-written versions, like the one by Francesca Lia Block (a favourite author of mine). I also like Alice in Wonderland stuff, like fan art, re-written stories, movie remakes (can't wait for the 2010 version with J.D.), and Little Red Riding Hood. So yeah, I overindulge, I love 3, but who can deny the strange attraction of a beautiful young woman and a beast? I never liked the prince when he was human (in the Disney movie), I liked the Beast, I thought it sucked when he turned back. lol. Alice in Wonderland, well who can resist all the fantastical weirdness of this world that Lewis Carroll wrote, and the message and themes it has in it? And well to me, little red riding hood is a little hard to describe what attracts me to it. Maybe because I love the bad boys, the wolves. And I am young (but not innocent) hee hee. I never liked how in the story book I had that a woodsman came and killed the wolf and let the grandma climb out. I was sad the wolf died. I have done a couple rewritten versions, one is where the wolf is actually a man named Wolf and naughty things happen lol And the other I haven't finished but it is definitely different from the original. Anyway, my point is, are there any fairytales that you really like, like you've read their histories, and the original fairytales they are based from, and collect fan art (or at least look at it), and read re-written stories based on them? Now I really can't wait for Alice in Wonderland to come out!

My absolute favorite fairy tale is Little Red Riding Hood. I also love Rapunzel and the Ugly Duckling. I love reading fairy tales and can not wait until I have children of my own so I can read and share these with my own children. I took a Children's Literature class in college and that was my favorite class.

I've never heard of a Children's Literature class, is it like a class you would take if you were interested in writing children's books? I would like to write a couple of children's Pagan books.

The class I took allowed you to read different kinds of children's books. I got to reread some of my favorite books such as Charlotts Web and Little Women. I too am looking for a class where they teach you how to write children's books. I have so many children's stories I would love to share with others. I make up stories to tell my niece and nephews and they love them.
