What do you think? Can coworkers be good friends? does their professional relation hinder the scope of friendship or does friendly feeling gets surpassed by official interests?. What is your opinion and experience in this matter.
I thought I could make friends in office too. My boss was very friendly with me. But now she never calls or receive my call, when I have shifted to new office.

Maybe your boss was friendly to you because she wanted you to give yourself totally in your work for her. We are always willing to give more, do more, please more, and sacrifice more for our friends. So many boss do this to gain total loyalty from their employees (sometimes even for minimum wage). I work constantly with about 60 people for 10 years now. But only 2 of them became real friends to me. The others are just friendly and cooperative, and we must know how to differentiate them. Those who are real friends would help me even with non-office task, keep secrets, and give attention to my family.
