finally someone who listen's to me

i kept telling my son's dr that i thought the meds did not work for him anymore because he was being over stimulated and no one listened to me . now that he goes to a special school that deals with kids like him with adhd,odd and bipolar the dr there said the same thing i been saying . i am so glad that this problem is going to be resolved finaly, don't it just get to you when the dr's won't listen to you when they should because you know your child best.

You're right. Doctors should also listen to their patients or to the significant others of the patient. A doctor who doesn't accept opinions from his/her patients is not a good doctor. This is why getting a second opinion is very good. A third or fourth opinion is not bad either. I'm happy that the situation with your child is getting better. shadow41

I have been there soo many times. You try to explain to the doctor and they look at you like your nuts. Even though we don't have the degree doesn't mean we don't understand when something is not working or something is off. I have been to plenty of doctors to know this. And it can get aggravating but my mom always tells me never to give up and keep pursuing the issue. My son is going to the doctor today. He was in the ER two nights ago and they sent him home with breathing treatments. Instead of it getting better its getting worse. Im wondering it they gave him the wrong treatment.
