Okay I only just started a few days ago, and I've seen many of you with posts counts in excess of 500 posts, so my question to you is how long have you been on Mylot, how many posts do you make a day and most importantly how much money have made for your respective post counts? How much money do you make on average a week? My goal is to earn about $10 a week, or $1.40 week not in random posts but quality posts that will add to Mylot's atmosphere. Wish me luck!

It is clear that earning much money is difficult. Your paymeny depends on your typing speed and articles' quality. The goal to mylot is writing my ideas as free and comfortable. Earning money is not my final goal. I also ask some questions troubling me. I often can receive right answer.

dude, i think that is impossible for someone who has just a little amount of time and luxury.. however if your just at home all day and doing nothing but surfing and chatting then maybe it can be possible.. :) just like what ram said you have to have at least 100 posts per day that has some sense or content to it.. in order for you to earn a dollar a day.. :) have a nice day.. :D

hey thanks man, yeah basically i am at home all day, so i am taking note of how many posts that I'm making to see how much i have earnt. I reckon i could do 100 posts, although it would get really tiring after a while.

haha thanks, what I shall do is this. I will post a new thread tommorrow and show how many posts I have made today and then show how much money I have made. That way we can get a proper idea of how much can be made. Cheers good luck

Not much really. You need to answer about 100 discussion to earn $1, so you can do the match accordingly. If you want around 1.40 dollars a day, then you need to answer around 140 discussion. Unfortunately, I do not have that much time and can only manage on an average 20-30 discussion when I am free otherwise it is much lesser. Cheers! Ram

Wow, thanks ram_cv thats cleared up a lot of things for me. So I'll probably have to write about 140 like you said. I don't think that's possible for me. What I'm finding is that mylot is a bigger money maker for me than online article publishing.

Yes, online article publishing should be treated more as a hobby rather than anything else as you will earn something but after a significant time. Which place do you write these articles? I write them at epinions.com. Cheers! Ram

There is no direct ratio of posts to cents in MyLot as your earnings depend entirely on the quality of your answer and not in fact the actual quality. In agreement with theonehush - whereas MyLot might be among the websites where you can earn the most money - it isn't really possible for the majority of us to make a substantial income from it. There are people who have a large number of referrals that make more money but if you are simply posting, it's time to look at the content of your responses and working out a winning formula. Something which works best for you to maximise your earning potential. I find that I can make around 50 cents on a day where I'll make about an hour's contribution. This only consists of somewhere between 15 or 25 posts with the same length and amount of detail as this one. I am a fast typist - that is easy for me to achieve. I choose to answer questions which offer me the best opportunity for depth as well as breadth therefore not only is my given answer more profitable to me but also usually contributes a lot more towards the discussion and is a lot more useful in answering the question than the hundreds of other responses which generally tend to be several lines long. As you can see, it is possible for somebody to make $10 in a week. Difficult but possible nonetheless. I would typically make around $5.00 for about 100 posts and this is equal to five cents per answer on average. Sometimes less, sometimes more. Of course, you have to weigh up the pros and cons of both options. Would it be easier to make 100 short posts a day worth a cent each or 20 posts in a similar amount of detail to this one worth five cents each? If you have somewhere in the region of 3-4 hours a day to spend on MyLot, as many people do (I have seen the amount of time some people spend on Facebook earning nothing for their contribution) then the possibilities are probably endless.

That is what I put in my comment upthere. Sorry I did not see that you had already said more or less the dame thing. I started one discussion yesterday and then spent the rest of my time here commenting back to ALL the responses. THAT is what earns because it makes it intoa discussion and we are told that we earns here for just that - discussing!

That's not a problem. It's no secret. If everybody was singing from the same hymn sheet then there would probably be a lot less of the meaningless topics floating around as there are. I genuinely believe that in the long term, if you want to be making more money, a smaller quantity of longer, more detailed posts, is the way to go about it rather than breaking your neck to get as many pointless replies made as it's possible to. I wish you the best of luck in achieving your goals - keep us informed of how you're getting on and whether you've found a secret formula which works for you!
