2012. Is the movie really a truth. Or is it fiction?

Have you seen 2012? the movie shows the end of the world. The special effects are awesome. It is really worth watching. But one question that arises here is that whether the world is really going to end in 2012? The global warming is a major issue. will this movie bring more awareness among the people. Isn't is time we must do something to save the world?

The end is coming, but no one knows when, not even the "highly advanced" Mayans. And it is pretty arrogant of man to think that man can do anything to stop it.

Wait and watch whether the movie is true or not.
You will have to live till 2012 to find out. I doubt whether I will reach that year alive.
What I do not understand is that if the world will end on a particular day, then we will all die together. So, what is the point in worrying. We should be pleased to know that we will be dying together. Isn't that something good?

yeah that is good to hear. you know when something like that happens i wonder it will feel like knowing that there is no chance of being saved from anything. it must be an overwekming feeling to have.
i wonder what people would do if they knew if they were going to die in a few days what would people do?

Predictions about the end of the world can be seen thoughout history. Every civilization has them. I hope it is just a truly awesome movie. I want to live to be a grandmother and even a great grandmother. Too many things I'd like to see and do before my end. And 2 years, just isn't enough time.

I think the apocalyptic theory might be a little harsh. i havent seen the movie but what ive heard about the 2012 rumor is that all of the planets are supposed to shift due to an allignment that changes the gravity of the planets causing them to move.. or something like that. but who knows if it will really be all crazy with tsunamies and volcanos, thats just hollywood's adaptation because everything is more entertaining when stuff is getting destroyed. im pretty interested to see what really ends up happening

Solar flare and pole shifting is going to happen.
In 2012 is predicted to the sun be in line with the center of the milky way.
The Mayans, Egyptians and even Nostradamus have predicted something to happen in 2012.
Are they wrong?
Well, scientist say they are but we can only hope science is right again...

The theories such as solar flare and the polar shifting are all true but putting a date when it will happen is the fictional in there. Plus the fact of how dramatic things happened there hasn't happened yet so we are pretty sure they are all the product of a very wild imagination of the producers and has nothing to do with the present.
I wouldn't worry about it right now since there are no proof of anything points towards that direction.

This movie isn't true but it does look like a great movie.I haven't seen it yet but plan to soon.And for all the people who believe the world will end in just 2 years is crazy.Go back in history and find out exactly how many times people have said the world would end at a certain time and never did.Don't belive everything you hear.People just want to make a big deal out of nothing.

Well its just a really good movie. although the theme has come earlier many times the fresh experienced direction has made us to like it and even make us think that it is actually possible. hats off to the team
