Be employee or be Boss

This May , I resigned from my last job. Many people felt surprised for my decision, in such a recession environment, I quited a job with a relative high salary and relaxing atomsphere. I smiled and told everyone not to worry, I had the confidence that I could find a job upon my ever excellent performance. But, after several month's job hunting, I was a little regretted for my rash decision. I'm thinking of being my own boss may be much better than being employed by others.

I don't think I could willingly leave a job in this economy without already having another one. It's just too risky and you are finding out. Being responsible for a family I would continue to work yet be looking and applying for a new job. It's very hard and frustrating to work at a job you dislike, but I still have a family to feed and would need to take their needs into consideration. Yet what is done is done and you can't undo it. Good luck and I hope you find a job soon.

Thanks for your kind wishes. Before I made the final decision, many people persuaded me to think it for a second time, and my parents worried me a lot but anyway they had to respect my own decision, they thought I was a grown-up, so I knew better than themselves for the future work. I thought so then, while the reality depressed and frustrated me. Though I'm still single and has no family to feed, I also have to pay for the daily living expenses, so after several months hunting, I had to accept an unsatisfactory job to reduce pressure of life. That's why I'm thinking of being my own boss.

It does not matter be employee or be boss as long you happy with your career.

i've done both. be an employee and be my own boss. i obviously would say i prefer the latter (being my own boss). there are a lot of downside and upside to being an employee and being a boss. if you think you are capable of doing your own business, do so. it doesn't have to be big and extravagant right away, but at least you started something. there will definitely be a lot of hit and misses. if you plan on going to back to workplace, be sure to be well-equipped too and be submissive to authorities. both of them are going to be fun especially if you love what you are doing. :)
