If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are so blessed for that friend. Even you can give them a healing touch by what you tell them.

A good friend need not necessarily touch or hug us to give solace or confidence. A word of him even by phone is enough to understand his concern for us. His voice is enough to give us moral support. What is required here is an assurance to the mind that somebody is there as our well wisher, a heart that is wishing good for us.

Hey GreatLife! You are so very right! Being able to be someones really good friend is something very special... A touch of the hand, a simple hug, a kiss on the cheek, a soft whisper of encouragement can certainly make all the difference in the world to some who you care about! And it does work both ways too! I have been blessed with many wonderful and caring friends and I always make sure to be there for them when they need me! That is what a true friend does!

Hi GreatLife I like your discussion. It makes you think about things. I have found some very good friends on here that are very far out of reach. But now I know that I can tell them what a good friend they are thru my words. Have a nice day and keep smiling.

Hi Greatlife4u, I am a hug person. I always give my friend a hug needed or not. I just want to let them feel that they have someone around who's always ready to listen if they need to talk, shoulder available if they need to cry and a crazy one if they want to laugh and have fun. I also love giving my friends a shoulder massage to keep them relax from a stressful life.
