Here's the scenario. If I am rich and do the good deeds as the Bible tells us to do. I would end up having the best of both worlds. Right? But if I am poor and have done no good in this world, then I ended up having the worst of both worlds. Do you think its fair?

Yes it is fair. What is the difference between being rich and being poor when it comes to doing good. It is all in the way that you live your life and how you treat others. Compassion has no color, no age, and most of the time no deep pockets. The majority of people who give to charities and other organizations in need are what society considers to be the middle and lower class people. If it so happens that you become rich tomorrow but did no good in this world do you think it fair for you to go to heaven? What good is it to gain the whole world and to lose your soul. He gives you free will. It's your choice in how you live here on Earth. God is just

But would you still prefer to be rich and do good, rather than being poor who had done good?

I'm looking forward to one day (hopefully soon)to becoming well off. This way I can not only help myself, but my family and those in need. The more I have the more I can help. Although, I can only imagine that it still wouldn't be enough.

The green grass grows all around. If you do good for others, good is going to happen to you. Being poor doesn't necessarily mean you don't have the means to give to others. Granted you may not have the financial means to give, but you have the most powerful thing any living person could ever ask for which is love and compassion. Volunteering to feed the homeless or giving clothes you no longer need to a family that you know is in need is more powerful then handing over money. Once you do for others, god is going to provide.

I like your answer JnmBrown. The very best things in life are free. I know a man who never won anything in his life. He went gambling and hit the jackpot. He was so happy that he kept gambling and kept gambling until he lost everything he had. Sometimes money can get a person in a lot of trouble.

No that is not fair at all. But we must not question God's commandments or rules. They always say a poor person is expected to give more than what is required. It is about the blessings that God has in store for this person..

Everyone can do good things for the others. It is not limited to rich or poor. If we have kind hearts and know how to love and care, that is good enough. Good things do not need to be big. Every little tiny things that we did or thought of could be good or bad. It is a matter of your attitude towards life. There is no lying in front of our God. God loves everyone and every creature on earth. Don't worry about fair or not fair, as it is hard to define. Do you know what is fair? So, just do good things and care for others. Cheer up!
