I do not know what your reaction will be after reading this recent news article but I can assure you that you will definitely be looking into the labels ever more closely. I would not be surprise that there will be hesitations or second thoughts on your next purchase. It was reported that a gang in the remote Peruvian jungle has been killing people for their fat, draining it from their corpses and selling it abroad on the black market for anti-wrinkle treatments. I think you are not going to believe this but it was revealed from one of the arrested gang member that the human fats is worth $60,000 (£36,000) a gallon in the black market. As the arrest of 3 members of the notorious gang, led the authorities in Peru to two bottles of fat and a photo of the rotting head of a 27-year-old male victim. It is believed that these fats were being sold to intermediaries in Peru and later suspected to be sold to European cosmetic companies - though the latter has yet to have evidence but the suspects revealed that these killings and deals had been ongoing for the past 3 decades! I am just appalled and shocked beyond words here and those cosmetic companies just earned my utmost disgusts for their part to these atrocities. Sadly to say, that this is just another ugly side of humans where profits can blind their ethical and moral being. Time to put a brake to these cosmetics and cosmetic companies? I think so.
