Listen guys, I need your computer knowledge ASAP! My honey is always touching things on his computer that he shouldnt. A friend of ours gave him an old monitor and tower. The poor thing has had more problems than he deserves. Unfortunately right now we cant afford another computer. I feel bad because he just paid for my laptop. Okay the problem is this... He went in and somehow under local connection went under properties he did something he doesnt actually remember and now it wont connect. Is there anyway I can reset the computer as a whole? If so can you help me? I would really appreciate your help. dl

Hi dloveli, I think it's an issue about his connection settings. Anyway, you can add me up and then send me the exact error message or the screenshot of your connection settings. Are you using windows vista, xp or win 7? Let me know and I could help you if this problem was unsolved. (Send me a message and tell me if you can't understand what I'm saying, I'll guide you)

Thanks so much Dark Marixx. I will take you up on your offer. I must tell you that when it comes to the technical issues of computers, I havent a clue!!! I must say that I am touched that you would offer me such a great amount of help. In my life people arent as eager to offer so much as a tiny amount of help. Thanks it means alot. I will get back to you probably by friday. IF that's okay. let me know. dl

Your question is bit strange to give my answer. Your inputs are not so clear to me and be specific with the problem you are facing with the computer. The solution for any kind of problem can be given if you provide proper input. As your are saying its local connection, is it related to software settings or hardware.

You can do a system restore to reset the Windows settings back to a prior date. I am assuming that you are using Microsoft Windows. I cannot remember how to get into it as I do not use Windows any more, but I think it is found in accessoriestools or somewhere like that!
