How good is 2012

Hey people 2012 is probably the 100th movie with the same old end -of-humanity story line. So was there anything new or refreshing about this movie to separate it from the common hordes?

I thought it was more like a made for TV Disaster movie. something you would see on the scyfy channel.

The visuals and special effects really took the movie to another level completely. I was awed by the detailing of the effects. But other than that the movie was just about average. It lacked in acting and also direction and screenplay. I expected a lot more from the movie but it disappointed.

Well I don't watch that many types of movies but I'm really looking forward to this one as it claims that the video effects and graphics of the disasters are going to be top class. Also the plot is really nice and you can look at it in reality and who knows, the world might end the same as the movie. If we are going to keep using up the oil supply when we've already got the technology to actually not pollute the planet then there is always going to be a disaster.
