A lot of people make New Years resolutions, many of which are broken or forgotten by the end of January. I try not to make New Years Resolutions for that reason. This year though I kinda made an informal resolution. This was the year I wanted to quit smoking. I did manage to quit for two months but I am now back at it again. Did you make a New Years Resolution last year and if you did di you keep it?

hi sharone^^;; when i was younger, our teachers would let us write our New Year's resolution into a beautiful peace of paper. we thought she's going to read it so we need to write something good, she didn't. she just let us keep it in our wallet or somewhere we always remember so when New Year's day come, we should started doing it after that, i realize that if i want to change something in me, why would i have to wait it for the New Year's Day before i am going to start doing it if i can do it now. i think a resolution is not important on it's date because yes, it's useless anyway if it will just be broken or forgotten..so no, i don't write any new year's resolution

A new year is much like a new day only bigger. It starts with a bang and a lot of excitement and some people feel better casting their lot with the masses. Besides to most people it is a tradition.

Before I used to have New Year's Resolutions but I can't do all of them. It is hard to keep what you want to change or to fulfill for New Year. What I want is to lose weight but it is hard to do and I always gets disappointed I'm back from the start again this coming New Year.

Try hitting thetra weight with a one two punch of both dieting and exercise. Don't do crash or fad diets or take up a sport or activity and then grow bored with it and quickly drop out again. I had gained a few extra pounds in the last couple of years and I resolved to get fitness routine and stick with it. What weight I haven't lost I have redistributed around my body much better than the configuration mother nature had given it. The sport I chose is interesting, it is difficult to grow bored with it, and it works your whole body with just one piece of apparatus. My sport is pole dancing I love it, I blog about it and I post videos up to you tube to record my progress.

Ditto. I sometimes vacate or change some of the goals I set and some of them the timetable must either be accelerated or depending upon what life brings down the pipe throughout the year.

I must admit that I don't even think that I even made a New Year's resolution last new year's. The reason being every time I made one, I never kept it and I always ended up forgetting what it was. That's why this year I just decided that it would be somewhat pointless for me to make a resolution that I wouldn't keep and/or remember. To be perfectly honest, I don't think that I'm going to make a resolution for 2010 either.

For some people it is simple to remember their New Year's resolutions because they keep some type of journal or diary. They jot it down and then they jot the subsequent things that te doing in pusuit of the goal and this helps to review or renew your progress throughout the year.

Try making some new New Year's resolution and see if that gives resolution more uuuumph. Making the same resolution each year and not keeping it just makes it even easier to fail to keep again.

no and I really can't remember a new year resolution I made that I'm able to keep and to tell you what, I made a whole bunch of resolution last year and even one of it, I'm not able to do/follow, like i will not play computer games anymore, I'll be a deans lister, etc. whew, I guess next time next year I'll try again and make it more attainable and short goal and I'll post it in every corner of my room so that I won't forget about it. good luck to me.

Whew, sounds like you make a lot of resolutions! The idea behind making A resolution is that is only supposed to be one big one rather than a bunch of big ones, like quitting smoking, or building a better body, or losing weight, something that you want to change before another year rolls around that you did or wanted to change this past year. Don't go BIG BIG just go Big and you'll be okay.

Those sound like worthy goals to shoot for. If you find any ways to make more money online please do let us know. Good luck and I wish you good health.

I agree with you that it is not easy to accomplish the resolutions if we are not serious about it. It's better not to make one if we can't keep it and now I am talking about myself! I think losing weight will be forever in my New Year's resolutions list! I am not consistent and sometimes I have the habit of procrastinating. I assure myself that I can do it 'tomorrow' and that 'tomorrow' becomes a year!

I made a New Years Resolution to eat healthier (for my skin) and failed. I eat way too much junk food to be considered healthy! One thing that sort of cancels that out for me, in my eyes, is the fact that I drink a LOT of water, around 10 cups a day. I think that that is a good exchange (almost) for the healthy eating, so I don't put myself down too much.

Try finding healthier snacks, like instead of junk food make something for yourself that is as tasty but better for you. Like celery with peanut butter or something light. There are all kinds of replacements for fried, saturated fat filled, or sugary junk foods. When you are ready to seriously try to cut back, I am sure that you will finds all kinds of lower calorie, lower starch, lower sugar recipes and snacks to eat. Until then nothing will stop you.

i accomplished some but some i didn't. Anyway, i have everyday to make me own resolutions. We shouldn't wait for the New Year to come before making resolutions, we can change right now.

Yes we can and most people do make adjustments and changes throughout the year, but I don't think that any other ti9me of the year has more influence over our resolve or our sense of renewal with the ending of an old year and the start of a new one. Psychologically New Years is the time to plan to do BIG thangs in the new year.
