Sympathy For The Devil

I found an interesting quote about the devil in a graphic novel which challenges the common saying "the devil made me do it". It is a hash reminder that you are responsible for your own acts. "They use to call the devil the father of all lies. But for someone whose sin is meant to be pride, you'd think lying would leave something of a sour taste. Too easy. Too sleazy. Too much of a coward's tool. So my theory is that when the devil wants to get something out of you, he doesn't lie at all. He tells you the exact, literal truth. And he lets you find your own way to hell." Do you believe that we are responsible for our own actions?

Who was it that called the devil the father of the lie or the originator of the lie? It was none other than Jesus Christ (see quotation below), the only human who came from heaven down to the earth. He saw the devil lie to Eve to get her to break God's commandment. So he knew what he was talking about. The Devil opposes everything God says which is the truth and propagates the opposite. Therefore everything he says is a lie. He promotes his lies and wants us to adopt his ways. He cannot force us to lie but he camouflages the lie making it appear as if it is the truth. If we don't educate ourselves to the truth which is found in God's word the Bible then we fall prey to the Devil's lies. John 8:44 (King James Version) 44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44 (New International Version) 44You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

YEah, we are definitely responsible for our own actions.. Never be using anything out of the world as an excuse to be a reason for our faults.. haha =D ONly the cowards will be using those words to protect themselves, and there's nothin to prove it.. haha =D If one is able to do it, or dare to do what they have done, then they have to bear the consequences, instead of pushing it to someone whom cant even defend themselves.. haha

I think Satan temps us, but, as it says in I Corinthians 10:13 - "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." So, I do agree that we are responsible for our own actions.

We are all responsible for our own actions. Consequences follow regardless of what we believe. Now you can't be getting rid of the devil just yet. There is one task he does better than anyone else. We can all blame the devil for all the bad choices and adversity that comes with life. You get rid of the devil and Who are we going to blame then????
