jugsjugs we always had a spare one or two so we never ran
into that sort of problem. we have several different kinds of win
bottle openers too so I always left that up to my adult
son to open as his hands are stronger than mine.

I might use a knife in an emergency, but this has never happened. We keep cork screws all over the place for such emergencies. also, we have some here that instead of corks they have plastic screw-tops (they look like mushrooms, almost... know what I mean?) With those things you don't need a cork screw.

This used to happen to my husband and I all the time! We always ended up going down the street to the store and getting another cork screw. Now we have a bunch of them, so it's not a problem. I think there is one for almost every drawer, so inevitably we can find at least one of them.

This always happened to us. When cork screw is needed we had hard time finding one. Anyway my husband and bro had their way of still taking the cork out--tried it with fork and knife and they made it. Toast to that. But not now we have several cork screw and a place known to all so that we will not be stressed in finding it.

Well actually that happened once so I pushed the cork into the bottle, since we had plans to finish it anyway, it did not matter.

Hello jj. If there is no cork screw opener available, I will try to see if I can use some other way to make it. Or I will ask my friend for help. Otherwise I will have to get one opener for it.

Using a screwdriver, screw it in half way then pull it out with a pair of pliers.
