Are you content with your present life?

I am not content. I suppose if I were content, then I would be in another world. For me contentment is not about money, but rather about emotions.

Contentment is a state of mind. Achievements are dependent on individual potential and abilities. Thus, a person is never contented until he/she has tapped his/her potential and abilities to the fullest, which is indirectly pointing towards his/her achievements. In other words, progress can never be slowed or accelerated when there are people around forever pushing themselves to their ultimate achievements. There are those who are never contented with the material comforts they have, thus they keep seeking for more until they are satisfied. The Ambani brothers and the world's richest are examples in this category of people. However, there are also those who have an immense thirst for knowledge and no amount of material gains would satisfy this thirst until they gain what they are searching for. Shankaracharya, Gautama Buddha, Jesus and Swami Vivekananda are some of those whose immense thirst for knowledge has delivered them from the bondage of human suffering. The teachings of these great philosophers and saints have influenced the lives of all great and small, rich and poor till today.

No, I am not contented with my life. What I really want in my life is to have regular job with above minimun salary with a lot of benifits, a growing business and some investment. What I only have now is a regular job with minimun salary and it is never enough, so obviously I am not contented of what is happening with my life right now. Slowly I am doing my best to make it happen, so to be contented. People have no satisfaction, they always want to reach higher ground, they want to achieve many things, they can do it if they will not procastinate.

Hello there, I think i am pretty content with my present life. But content with present life is the power to support you to go for a better goal, i don't think that will slow down the further progress, actually, i see it as a back up for better future. Wish you a pleasure day!

I think my life could be alot better if i had alot less things to worry about.I want to go back to work,but at the moment with my health i am unable to go to work.I have to work on here to earn a bit of money that always go towards the bills and i never get no time for me any more as i am trying to earn money as well as look after the children as well as trying to keep the house nice.

Hi vijayanths I am very much happy with what I have now. In my view, contentment means, a person while going to bed, should sleep peacefully. If he has even the smallest worry, tension or fear, he can not sleep peacefully for a while. I do not think that, today, if I am leading a content life, tomorrow, it may slow down my further progress, coz I am ready to face any problems and challenges without any fear and win over that. In my view, a person should get his two time meals stomach full, It can be plain roti and sabji but tasty, good clothes, it may not be expensive, but good quality, some roof over his head to protect himself from sun and rain, caring wife, useful children makes one person contended

hello vijayanths! although i still have somethings in my mind that i want to do, or want to achieve, want to have, still i can say that i am happy with who i am no, with what i have already and i'm just happy and contented with my life... i have a very nice loving & understanding husband, a family that's always there for me, found some real friends, and still have a strong faith to our God and i feel His presence in my life... what else can i ask more? maybe we are not rich in terms of material things..but i know, we are rich in our faith... and the most happy people in the world are those who knows how to be contented & satisfied with what they have... but of course, it won't stop me from dreaming...

Hello, vijayanths. I can say that i am not totally contented of what i have right now because i have more in my minds that i haven't reached yet. I am a type of person who has lots of things in mind and I admit often I'm aggressive in reaching my goals. I think we, human, don't easily get contented.
