Dont you think that men and women in the army who die of freak accidents or die in battles is such a waste of life? Whose war are we fighting? Life is short enough as it is. I understand countries need their military and stuff for security reasons but why are nations hell bent on destroying each other? We had the atomic bombs during WW2. The latest Bush-Afghan Saga still stands in many americans' minds. Freak accidents are covered up. Is war necessary? Is the army necessary?

...Absolutely nothing. I believe these are part of the lyrics of a song. I wish I could say no to your questions. But practically that is not possible. No country will do that. There is no point in fighting, there never was. But nothing can be done about it. Maybe if we unite and all the people understand this, then maybe we can stop wars. But right now, more than wars against nations, it is war against the terrorists that matter most and I think that army is necessary in that respect.

I gotta say I agree with you. The harsh realities of life it is. Some countries actually would not have it any other way cos their survival depends on it. Thanks for your response.
