Do you believe when other people said "I know what is best for you?"

There are some people in our life who said " I know what is best for you, that's why I'm doing this things." or " I know what is best for you, so you must listen to me." Do you think that those people really know what is best for you. Or it's only you who knows what is best for your self? Do you like it when they say it to you?

"This is the best way,if you don't listen to me, you would regret in the future." My dad always told me that.
Two years ago, when I chose the university to enter, my dad told me to choose the military academy for its wuthority,but I refused in the end. Now he always brings up this matter. However, I still firmly believe my choice is the best one.
Make your decision by yourself, since it's your life, not others'.

Some parents unrealized dreams often want their children to make it happened that's why dictate their children on which path to choose. However there are those parents who just really look after which is best for you, I guess like your dad. In your case, as long your dad is with you, you have no choice but to listen every time he bring up those matter with you. On my part, I did what I think is best for me. So far I have no regret. I agree with your opinion that many parents want their children to realize their unrealized dream. My dad is a doctor and he was unfortunately that he failed in his university entrance examnation. I am trying to do good in my studies with a good behavior, I think my dad will agree with me that my choice is good and he is proud of me.

Well, when these words are said by my parents, then its true and surely listen to them. For i feel they really know the best for me and care for me. So i feel its my good to listen to them. Well if its strangers, i would consider to accept or not.

Listen to the advice of others but walk your own path. Life's lessons are best learned that way. Sometimes, kind, helpful people can help you in ways that you do not see. Take their kindness to heart but never let someone else live your life for you. Don't be afraid to live the adventure!!
