If you had a timemachine that could either take you back in time to any period or forward in time to anywhere, which would you choose? What time period would it be? Why???

If I had a time machine, I would go back to the first week that my husband and I met and we would have gone to the justice of the peace where we were working before I had to leave and go back to my place of work and he had to stay. We would have been married that weekend. And did everything totally different. Thanks for asking this.

i would love to move forward to the end of this century just to see if this century holds the secrets like the last one did. Think, air flight has only existed a century, penicillin for half that time, space flight is in its infacy, motor cars for a little over a century, just what innovations will this century hold, we have no reason to suspect it will be any less dramatic than the one just gone

It is amazing how much can happen in the span of just 100 years. I find that the more technology grows, the faster things seem to get. Going forward is a great idea. It would be impressive to see if we come up with cures for cancer, hiv, and the common cold. Thanks for your response. I appreciate it.

I'd either.... 1) go back and meet my ancestors, I've always been very interested in my lineage. or 2) go forward 20 years and look myself up-I'd want to see where I am and who I'm around in twenty years. OR 3) go back to the night of the Lindberg kidnapping and see what really happened.... OR 4) go back to the time Christ walked the earth, now THAT would be something....

You have some terrific ideas. You really gave it some thought, I like that. I too would like to go back in time, more so than going forward. I'd love to meet my ancestors too. The one I really like of yours is going back to the time of Christ. That would be amazing! Thanks for your response, it is really great.

Like Backpack30 said, I'd go back to the time when Christ was alive. I'd like to see what it was like to meet him in person, as a man. I would also go 10 years into the future. I'd like to see what my children are like, and if all the hard-work and sleepless nights paid off.

I know, I think Backpack30's response was phenominal. It would be something to meet Jesus, to witness the miracles he performed, and just behold His glory. Interesting about going ahead to see how your children turned out. I like that response too. Have no fear, the sleepless nights and hard work will pay off in the end. Thanks for replying.

i think that i would choose to go forward and see the future.. the year7000 maybe and discover what lies ahead.. i would like to see if my family survived to become the head of the state, the slave of the aliens, have turned to aliens or whatever.. i would like to see and to be able to use the modern gadgets and equipments that the people in the year 7000 shall produce.. i would like to see what the earth now has become and would like to see what my room has become.. who are my descendants and where they live, what they did to our old house and check of records of myself.. and the like.. well i wanna see the world and how the world has changed and how the values of the society are gonna evolve.. i also want to see the future animals and trees and plants and the future trend and maybe when i go back to the present im gonna copy themm.. LOLS.

Wow, that is a long way into the future. I seriously wonder what the world would be like then, or even if there would be a world. Thanks for your thoughts and input on this. I appreciate it.

I hope a time machine is never created as it will almost certainly cause something major to happen in our time now. As for your question, i would probably go forward in time, see how things have turned out, maybe change some things for the better. Although i think seeing the future would cause you to feel somewhat unhappy when you return to the present, as you know that is going to happen. I would never travel back in time, that's in the past, it's all moving forward

Very interesting look on it JoeJoe. I too hope they never really create a time machine, because it could create a catastrophe with life as we know it. I find it interesting that you are not interested in going back and your take on "it's all moving forward", that matters. My outlook is opposite, if I can see the damages/bad decisions of the past, maybe I can make it better in the future. Thank you very much for sharing your views. I appreciate it.

Interesting. How far into the future do you think you'd go? That would be trippy to see what all had been invented. Thanks for the response.
