Have you ever followed a football game on the computer?

This past Thursday night my Miami Dolphins played the Panthers and, much to my dismay, we couldn't watch since we don't subscribe to the NFL network. This was a must win game and while my husband found something else to watch, I went to nfl.com and followed the progress in their Game Center from the laptop. It wasn't toooo bad...but I think I irritated him when I yelled "touchdown!" a couple of times. There was the field with different colored lines and arrows tracking the possession and progress of the ball. There was a textbox letting you know who just did what and for how many yards. I would have liked to have been able to actually see Ricky Williams make those TDs but at least they displayed it in caps (TOUCHTOWN) and let you know that the extra point was GOOD. Not my favorite way to watch a game but the Dolphins won so at least we're still in the running.

You're talking about live text update on the match, or something similar, right? I don't really like that - if I can't find a site that broadcasts (more or less legally) the match I'm interested in (an I usually find such sites), I prefer checking out the score like once every 15 min... I don't really sit and refresh the live text info.

Yes, live text and graphics. This isn't something I'm real up on but it wasn't so bad. Now I have a lead on a site I should be more helpful though.

We follow the Titans. Which sad to say, they aren't on TV here in the midwest all that often. So my husband watches alot of the games on the computer as well. He watches the Game Center too. I don't like to follow the game unless I can watch it on TV! I'm newer to NFL football and don't quite "get" it sometimes when we watch it on the computer! LOL

I'm no expert myself and I did miss the commentary, too. Some of what I saw made no sense because I couldn't see what was going on!
