I recently receive received a letter attached with a approved ticket to Bahamas cruise for 4 days. It claimed that I win over the free voucher to something I registered for. I thought it was an exciting news, but it seems like a scam. Although a check of $1,300 attached to it, it still not trustworthy. Because I don't really sign up for anything like that. Although I want to go on vacation, like Bahamas so much, but I don't think that I am that lucky. So, I just wonder how can you find out whether this free cruise ticket is legit or not?

be sure if you keep continue corresponding with them, they will ask for you little amount soon, as a freight or postal cost for sending $ 1300 check and other documents to you. no doubt its scam. just wait and see, what they ask and advice to you next, but don't trust them.

Since it is a scam, I won't risk to contact them any further. I would rather stay away from them. That cheque, tempting, but I won't deposit it or do anything with it anyway. I am ok with what I have right now.

Try cashing in the cheque, and seeing if it is legit. If it truly is and you can get money, then I would assume this is legit. But, if they say invalid cheque, then be wary.

No, I heard from the radio. There were many scams like that, and people trying to deposit the check, the banks accept it as valid. Later, there is no money on the check while transaction, and I might end up owe the penalty to the banks. I won't risk it at all.

If you remember signing up or entering a competition then it is more than likely legit. Is there an address or a phone number you can find out more information? Are they asking for money? if they ask for even $0.01 then its a scam! Good luck hope it is legit!
