I save all year for christmas only. My bank offers a christmas club account that earns a little bit more interest than a regular savings account and it has an automatic withdrawl date where they mail you a check or direct deposit the money into your checking account arround the end of October. I love it! It has been so helpful for planning. I also have a large family to buy for.

Hi there Ice Smile. You could very well say that i am that kind of person - the one that saves money for rainy days or for special days like Christmas, birthdays or vacations all together. I do believe that it is a good idea to have money on the side as you never know when you can find some good deals and if you are penniless and the occasion passes you will very much regret not being able to afford it in the first place.

My husband and I always have money put aside to buy special presents for people for their birthdays, and Christmas. We enjoy the creativity it takes to come up with the perfect gift for someone, and we enjoy seeing the looks on their faces when they open the gifts we give them.
