I am looking for a gift for my 4 year old kid for Christmas. I am looking to choose between a Learning Laptop or a DVD player with screen. Which do you suggest is better? Also which brand or model do you suggest? Cheers! Ram

The learning laptop which is a toy I think is quite cheaper than the DVD player with screen which could cost you more than 145 dollars depending on the brand of your choice. Though, based on the ages of the kids it is preferable to give a learning laptop as he could learn a lot from it for educational purposes. The learning laptop depending on brand could cost you 50 to 15 dollars and the brand my be Vtechlearning laptop. While in terms of DVD player i think at his age he is quite not handle it except when guided by an adults. Thus, i think you go to buy an item which your kids could develop his cognitive and motor skills better than just merely watching.

My vote goes for 'learning laptop', whatever that is! Is it the v-tech ones? DVD player with screen might not be pro-learning at all.

Yes, V-tech makes some of these Learning Laptops. DVD player for kids allows for playing of CDs/DVDs such as Barnie etc. while travelling. Cheers! Ram
