Hello everyone, it's been a long time since I have been here because I had a lot of medical and financial challenges. I am back and I would like to know if anyone can explain to me so I can understand Why is it that people with good credit get better credit rates than people with not so good credit and litter money. It seen backward to me because sometimes circumstances prevent a person from paying on time or not paying at all. seem backward to me if I am already struggling why add additional fees and interest. I am talking about honest people who are trying to meet their obligations but have to choose missing a Dr appointment because they do not have the co-payment, buying food, buying their medication.I had a major operation I was in intensive care unit for 10 days stayed in the hospital for a total of 21 days would anyone believe that someone called me from the credit card company while I was in intensive care on my cell phone demanding a payment and I explained as best that I could at that time but they did not stop I was constantly called at home while I was trying to recovery and it was very stressful is there a law against that.

yeah things like that suck. I hope you are better. Those creditor people can be real jerks. And I know they are just doing their job and maybe they don't get paid unless they can get people to pay their bill, but I don't know why they act so rude. They have to understand that some people don't have jobs and can't pay the money back and don't have anyone to borrow it from. If they were out of a job then creditors would be bothering them and they would know how it feels, so I think they should try to be more understanding instead of looking down on others. But I get what you are saying, for people who have worse credit fees are higher. What I hate is that if you keep missing payments on your credit card they just keep charging you late fees until your $300 bill is $600 or $500 somehow turns into almost $1000! It is stupid. Then they threaten to make a court judgement on it and make you pay the fees, which doesn't matter since if you can't pay the bill in the first place you can't pay the fees. I personally have nothing that they can really take except my computer and this was bought with a school loan since it is the only way I can go to school since I don't have a car. I don't have a job and I am still looking for one and I know as soon as I get one all of my money is going towards paying all of my bills off. I hate owing people, it gnaws at me. So having debt really eats me up, but I have no way to pay since I had a job while I had the cards, then I lost it and had no way to pay the fees. Anyway, I hope things work out for you. If you get a magic jack phone service and change your number they won't be able to find it out unless you give it to them.

That is the problem long time ago about credit companies who put extra-orbitant fees to their paying members. I hope that you can successfully explain your situation so that those extra fees would not be charged against you. Anyway, you can learn from the experience and be wiser the second time around. Welcome to this site although I am not so active. Have a good day.
