India won the toss and were batting superbly in the pre lunch session. Shewag blasted the lankan bowling attack into pieces and raced to a superb century. The platform was set for yet another brilliant big one from shewag, But he fell to a not so good shot of a not so good delivery. What do you guys think. Has Shewag blown away the chances of scoring yet another biggie??

He bats the same way in almost every game. Whenever I see him get out, it is usually him throwing away his wicket. I understand he wants to hit a lot of sixes. But look at the ball also. I mean if its a ball which should be hit for a six then go ahead and hit it for a six. Otherwise just leave it or try to hit a four down the ground.

But, isn't that his style. If the ball is there to be hit, I will hit it. If I miss it or mistime it you get me else I will whack you. That was how his innings was today. After being dropped on duck, he piled on the runs and paved the way for India to score 400 odd on the first day. If he had stayed I am pretty sure we would have scored 450 on the first day!! Cheers! The best thing about Sehwag is that even though we get this thought in our minds he never thinks of these things. thats why he is such an effective batsman. Remember when he made those 2 triple centuries he played the same way. he has his way of batting. some days it works and some days its doesn't. We hardly ever see him change the way he bats. He is happy with the 131 he got today and he will be happy if he gets a triple century too. He doesn't care much about personal records. Thats why he never feels the pressure of nearing a hundred or a double hundred. we see him loft the bowlers over the boundary to reach a three figure mark or the famous 195 he scores in Australia where he was out holing toi wide long on while trying to hit a six to reach the double hundred even after hitting the bowler for a six the previous delivery. And this quality of his is what makes him on of the most feared batsman in the world of test cricket. yes he didmiss oput on an opportunity to score a big one but considering that he was dropped at the beginning of the innings he did convert it into a big one by crossing the three figure mark.
