You don't have to wait for a lavish vacation or special event to spend quality time with your children. What are some frugal but fun ideas for family outings? Share your ideas.

Set a tent up in the yard and make it a vacation. Shut the phone off,no electrical appliances at all. Cook out on the grill or Hot Dog Roast and Smores. Or games my kids love to play games. Hiking, family hiking trip.

We normally just watch movies.. but it can get boring... so I would say going out to the park or having friends and family over just for gathering and playing games. Like monoply, poker, etc...

When my son was smaller...I used to take him to the park a lot...You could also visit other mother's and thier children...or go the library...etc...
