750,000.00 gbp from royal dutch shell petroleum : So fake !

Hello guys, I just received a text message from a sender "TM-AWARD" with the following words : "Congrat! Your Mobile has won 750,000.00 GBP from Royal Dutch Shell Petroleum For claim contact Dr. Kent via email: paymentrelease@royaldutchshellpetroleum.com . I've been getting one message a month from these unknown senders, any solution to stop this ? Thank you for your time

Once you start getting spam text messages on your phone they can be very hard to stop. I would suggest contacting your phone provider and have them block it. If all else fails change your number.

Yeah, I doubt the service provider can block an internet gateway which can generate random names any number of times. I'd probably get a symbian software blocked out messages and putting them in a spam folder based on certain key words I put in. But why would they send messages here in India from probably Nigeria, I'm sure they ask for credit card number for verification purposes, lol

I did not realize it was an Internet gateway that is a different problem altogether. I think you have the best idea with the software and a spam folder, that should keep the spam at bay. The scammers will go to any lengths and target anyone they can and I am positive they would ask for your card number for verification lol. Good luck with ridding your self of the spam my friend
