i started my christmas shopping early. it was towards the end of this past summer to be exact. i am now almost finish with just a few more things to get. i never went shopping on black friday because i didn't want to deal with the heavy traffic and things. i am considering to give it a try this year. my brother always wait until the week before christmas to get his shopping done, and he usually don't get all the things that he planned to get. we try to get him to start when we go shopping, but he never does. so what about you are you a last minute shopper or do you get started early? thanks to those that reply.

I try to get started early, otherwise it would be a nightmare. Having enough finances is anissue so it's best to spread out Christmas purchases. Plus of course are the crowds. I live near one of the biggest shopping centres in Australia, and you wouldnt believe it in the weeks before Christmas. It's crazy. One cant even get a car park. This year, because I have recently separated from my husband, I dont have to buy pressies for his huge family; he does. So I only have to buy for my daughter, my parents and neice and nephew. This makes life a lot easier. I especially enjoy buying presents for my 16 year old daughter. What is Black Friday?

Not really since I do most of my shopping online so I get shopping done on time I dont like to wait to the last minute especially during the holiday season I would rather get it done early then wait to the last minute and have to fight out the crowds at stores.

yes it is a mess out there the closer it gets to christmas, as far as shopping is concern. i also do a lot of online shopping, it saves me money, time, and is less stressful. since you do a lot of your shopping online would you happen to know some good cashback sites? there are a few that i know about from survey sites that i am a member too, and i was looking for some more. thanks for replying.

I guess I can consider myself as a last minute shopper because as of now I still haven't started doing my Christmas shopping and I'm not sure when am I going to do it because as I can remember during the last years I've been doing my Christmas shopping on te morning of December 24.

I would probably consider myself to be one of those last minute shoppers. I always tell myself to start early every year but I always end up pushing it back until the week before Christmas. It's because I don't really have any time, my work load increases because of the holiday and I'm just too tired to go shopping afterwards. So, I have to rush around at the last minute. Last year I didn't finish my shopping until the day before Christmas. I was surprised to see that I wasn't the only one though. There were a bunch of other people running around like crazy people too so I didn't feel too bad about it.

shopper - shopping is fun
Hi there shontia08!I am not really a last minute shopper. I would more often than not, buy the gifts I intend to give early. However, there are times when I also do some last minute shopping but oftentimes, these are those that are not very much important. More often than not, the gifts I intend to give for Christmas are ready a couple of weeks before the main event.

Yes I am, I am self-confessed last minute shopper and I really hate myself for not being able to overcome this bad habit. I always cram, I always get stressful moments of buying and choosing which gift would suit my loved ones. I really hate myself for I can't teach myself to go shopping while it is yet early. I always wait for the last minute and for that no one suffers but myself. Hayyyyy!

Gift - Presents
I am actually not a last minute shopper. I like to start early too. I like going to malls and check for good deals. If I see something I like, I would buy it and just keep it in a place where the intended recipient of the gift do not know.

I am one of the people that starts my shopping very early, the day after Christmas to be exact. Now, with about a month to go, I've only got 7 gifts left to buy and I intend to get all of those on Friday. This year I discovere the joys of shopping from the comfort of my desk chair and I've bought a lot of things from Amazon for prices that were as good if not better than what I could find them for at the stores. Plus, that way the only time that I will have to deal with traffic is when I do go out shopping on Black Friday.

I am guilty for this because I always tend to forget that I need to buy something for someone or for a certain occasion (and yes, even if it's Christmas...) It does cause hassles too, but the thing is I am a crammer, even when its about shopping.

Hi shontia08. Sometimes I'm a last minute shopper. Like now, I have not yet started shopping for my Christmas needs. Hopefully, I could already start doing this by next week.

YES and NO. I always plan shopping early for every specail day, like months or weeks before. Sometimes I finish early. Sometimes I just fail to follow my plan that I get it done right on time.

I'll do shopping at the last minutes if at that time I can get the lowest price for the items I need. I often shop online, so I don't worry much about heavy traffic.

I don't necessarily wait until the last minute but I don't start my holiday shopping until Thanksgiving or afterwards. Last year I did most of my shopping online and found some great deals on Thanksgiving evening...as well as on Black Friday. My family is too large...there are too many birthdays and anniversaries every month for me to be able to focus on Christmas any earlier than that.

Yes I was going to do all of it this summer but I didn't and I haven't even gone yet I guess this year it will be a last minute shopper for me because I have tried the Black Friday thing and I will never ever do that again!!!All the long long lines and people being rude shoving and pushing to get things no thank you not for me.Next year I am going to do the shopping thruogh the year this is like the 2nd time I have waited and it is a little harder but its' not all that bad.

Normally, I start earlier in the year, but because of the economy and I am currently not working I have not been able to do as much shopping as I would like. I only participated in black Friday once and that was because my laptop was on sale. I did not feel comfortable with the crowds and people pushing. It is hard for me to get up early for the sales. Thansgiving Day I am so busy with cooking and at night my husband and I decorate the Christmas tree. We also watch a Christmas movie. I know that my husband hates Christmas shopping and I am sure he will wait until the last minute. I usually start the beginning of November and finish two days before Thanksgiving. My husband wants me to give him hints as to what I want for Christmas, but I won't give him any. I figure if he wants any hints he must give me some hints.
