I have seen discussions of better quality in forums that dont pay members to take part. Is mylot compromising on quality by paying its members? Reason being a lot of members, I can see, are using short lines and posting the minimum number of lines on their forums to get away with receiving a payment. Of course there are some genuine members here (some of whom are in my friends' list) but will you remain here in mylot if they stop paying members? What do you think?

I think there's no need for mylot to not pay it's members to have better quality discussions. Yes, somehow I agree that there are non paying forums that have better quality thread or discussion but unlike mylot they are focus only in one or two interest that's why the quality is better sometimes. If you want to see good quality discussions then focus in a single interest and participate only in good discussions. You have the choice here what interest and what discussion you're going to be participating. Usually that not so good discussions you were talking about get less responders or maybe nothing at all than those discussion that were given some thought. It's not you who suffers the consequences of posting not so good discussions but the poster himself. If mylot stop paying it's members then it would only mean that I would lose my main source of profit online.
