Do you consider yourself artistic?

I do consider myself artistic at times when I'm in the mood for it. One sample would be me matching my clothes and deciding what colours I'd like for the day with my make-up and accessories. But there are days when I simply could wear rags for all I care. What about you? Do you consider yourself artistic?

Yes I do. I know if I didn't have art in my life, I would be a much less balanced person. I write everyday and I'm going to join a gym because they offer wheelchair dance classes. My mother refers to me as her odd child. In Pennsylvania, anyone who doesn't want to be a businessperson is odd. Unfortunately, I recently discovered that if you want to be an artist, you can be a businessperson too. Maybe that will make me less odd in my mother's eyes. Although I doubt it and stopped caring long ago.

Oh you're a writer then. Hehehe it's really funny when you mentioned that anyone who isn't a businessperson in your country or area is considered odd. I'm imagining that everyone there has a business?

I definitely consider myself to be quite artistic which is pretty cool, because I had never been that way until the past year or so. I find myself looking at ordinary, everyday things and thinking about how cool of a picture I could take of that object, or an idea for a painting based on an object or idea. I love photography and I love abstract art! Those are both passions of mine. However, I do have to be in the mood to take pictures or paint. I don't always feel the creative mood hitting me and there are times that it just doesn't seem to come naturally. But when the creative moods hits, I'm ready to go and it could last several hours or several days.

Wow.. Indeed you are artistic. I'm just wondering though how the professionals do this on day-to-day basis because there really are times when I can't find my mood and often wondering if I had done art as a profession I'll surely be in poverty because of lack of mood all the time!

I consider myself to be artistic. I do photography/modeling and freelance writing as hobbies and I think you need a certain level of artistic aility to do both. I also enjoy painting and I would love to get into sculpting one day. I've always viewed things differently from my peers and family and those around me have always embraced that trait in me.

That's just great. Where do you start with sculpting? I fear that there are far less people who do those things. I would love to see an artist at work, I could only well imagine how much artistic and vision one needs to have in order to see something from a block of marble or an empty canvass. Good luck with your plans and I pray that you achieve them with happiness. Have a great MyLot experience ahead! God Bless you always.

I design jewelry but it wasnt until I went into business selling it that I thought of myself as creative. I dont think of it as much artistic as I do creative. But ever since I started this I now look at everything as an Idea for a piece of jewelry. So I guess I am artistic in my own way. I never really thought about it like that. dl

I guess art comes in different ways. You've surely proven your artistic ways because you sold those designs! There are many self-proclaimed artists that don't really sell anything because their art is only limited to the people in their circle, like themselves Thanks for the response, apologies for the super late reply. Have a great myLot experience ahead!

Hi laydee! I can't draw like the professionals. But I do have artistic ways when it come to me designing something. I can coordinate clothing, household materials such as curtains and bedspreads.

Oh nice, you have the eye for creativity. My mom has that too, but I don't think I have that in my blood. I'm such a bland person, so to speak, I like everything neat, gray, browns, and white. I'm not able to delineate from what is ideal, I'd love to have more color though.

If you are talking about drawing or painting, then I consider myself average in that category. I used to love drawing when I was in school. If you are talking about singers and musicians then, my answer would be no.

There are many forms of art, it could even be the way you could just compose proses or poems. It could be the way you could combine colors for you day-to-day activities like the way you dress, the way you arrange things. It could also be in the taste of music or photography. I can't sing either, but I think I have art in terms of expressing myself through music. What sort of way could you see yourself as an artist?

I just consider myself artistic.I have never failed to dress properly as I stepped out of my house regardless of the mood I am possessed with.It has been the habit of mine since my childhood.I think that I have inherited this particular trait from the impeccable lady, my Mum.Go bless her soul.

Hmm... You never fail to dress properly. Perhaps you truly do have good taste in outfits, that's nice. Have you used this talent though for something good or something that could make you earn like designing or fashion?

I do not consider myself. I fail at so many things and this would be one of them. It is hard for me to come up with new ideas.

Yes in ways I do. I'm a member of a few forums where I can show off my "artistical" abilities. Its one of the things that relaxes me most. I wish I had more time to do it while alone, but it's not always possible.
