Have you heard about this kind of DIET?? There are many people out there, that are very conscious of their body. They control their food intake, as people say "they are on a diet!" This is an honest mistake, people does not know what diet really means. .. Diet is a deliberate selection of food to control ones weight and nutrient content.. . It does not mean NO FOOD...what do you think?

hi doniep^^;; yeah i heard this too and they call it "after 6 diet" experts said we should eat at night because we will be sleeping for a long time. you are very right when you said we should select and limit food intake so i don't understand why so many people let their selves suffer from not eating food. a good diet is to make people healthy without depriving them of food.

hi lucky! I surely approve your opinion about people who choose to suffer theirselves from not eating food. It is so afflicting with that idea. What i mean is that there millions of people who cant eat because they dont have literary some food due to indigency that they have to look for food in some trash just to fill up their hunger, yet still unhealthy as they seem. On the other hand, those bounty people does not even like to eat..

yes, that's right. why would others who can afford to buy food deprive themselves to eat while others who like to eat have to scavenge from garbages. oh the world is really full of irony.. hey friend doniep, don't forget to eat well out there...then just exercise if you want to lose weight

I have heard about this but I am not into it. Some people say that it works. Well, I think it does considering that when you eat to much during the evening, it is not properly digested. Most of them would most likely end up as fats. But for me, diet is not about not eating but rather the choice of food that you take in. If you take in healthy foods rather than fatty foods surely it will be beneficial to health.

Count me in! I am not in too this kind of diet. Considering not eating for 12 hours from 6pm till morning, even if you will just sleep through the night, you may end up loosing weight. Yet, you will end up having stomach illnesses. For me, I choose the food that i like to eat and that are healthy. I do not need to skip meals, but i just limit what i eat.

Well to maintain a balanced diet, you must eat from all the food groups and exercise and blah, blah, blah. As long as one is stuffing their faces, they are on a diet. I have a big beau and he does the atkins diet sometimes. He is a diabetic and they have to watch their carb intake. Well, while discussing diet options for my overweight son, we remembered that in school they told us that eating before bed is bad for you because you don't burn that food for energy and it sits and becomes fat. That makes sense, if you eat something and exercise afterwards you are burning calories for energy, yada, yada yada. I feed my kids around 4:30pm-5pm supper and then that's it. They cannot snack unless it's like celery or carrots. A controlled diet is a certain selection of foods and if you want it to be successful then you have to have an exercise regimine and follow it completely. No cheating. So i hope this answers your question.

technically yes skipping the night food would stop the increasing weight and could decrease your weight up to a limit for a typical person. this is because of the reason that we do not use the calories that we intake at night and so they are stored as fat.

yes, no food after 6, is one type of a diet. Medically speaking, it is what we called as NPO or "none per orem" in English "nothing by mouth" in layman's term that's what they called "fasting".

Well I know a lot of people will not eat after 6. But I can see why since you gain more at night time then you do during the day time so I can see why people dont eat at that time even though I dont because I work till late and I usally have dinner around 6 or 7 pm plus I stay up late so its hard to last more then 5 or 6 hours with out eating something.
