Its written in the Bible that "the love of money is the root of all evil". Money corrupts the mind of the person having it. Is it really true or just the other way around. Money is good, but people who owns its are the ones evil?

....Hi Fulltank, Hope you are doing well. You have the quote correct, "the love of money." I think the meaning is that you use money for what is necessary for your livelihood but do not make money the whole purpose of your existence. Where all you think about is making money and spending it for tangible goods. You have to have some money to pay for food, clothing, shelter and other every day things that keed you going. If you have extra, good for you, but allowing money and making money to control your life is probably not the best thing one should do. There is also another bible quote, "money answers all things", so there has to be a balance as I see it. Take care.

Money is neither good nor bad. Money is inanimate. Money is a necessity. People who own money are not evil. Wealthy people can do an enormous amount of good in the world - and many do. The 'LOVE' of money - the strong desire to get money regardless of how or of who gets hurt in the getting; the making a god of money and its power; putting money and possessions ahead of people - leads to all sorts of evil, and is therefore the 'root' of all evil.

It's the root--means it is the beginning of doing evil things.

The love of money corrupts no doubt but power corrupts absolutely and since money brings in power, we hanker after it. Money is a means of corruption not the end of it, power is.We try to control as many people as we can, this is the basic intention of humans. We like slaves whether physical or mental and have absolute power over them. This is what makes us evil and commit crimes.

Even then, when it comes to money a lot of people have been so greedy of it maybe because its the most powerful tool a person can have and with that I think money is the root of all evil. But there are still some people who never uses money just to covet something and admired those people for being such a fair being. On the contrary, I pity people who made themselves unfair and evil because of money. As we all know, there are so many crimes around us and all of those things happened because of "money" and its a sad thing after all that few people choose money over their fellow and with that I know that one day they would realize their mistake but when that time comes I doubt it if they can recover once again. Let's try to balance our lives in a sense that we should not covet material things that we couldn't bring when we are about to die so let's make a meaningful stay in this world by imparting a piece of us to every person we meet.

You missed the key word: "Love" of money. Money is neither good nor bad, but the love of it leads people to do all sorts of cruel and crude things.
