I think the events in September 2001, just brought home the detrimental effects emotionally and economically on people. Prior to these horrible effects, terrorism was almost joked about in cartoons and I certainly never thought of the ghastly effects this crime can have on people.
Terrorism is and will continue to be a problem in our world. As long as groups of people are oppressed to the point that they are social and economic outcasts, they will then draw on sources like religion to vent their anger and attack others for their trials and tribulations. One cannot simply blame Islam for the attacks on the US, it was because these individuals were living in a country that oppressed them and brainwashed them.
If we learn to accept all individuals and try to allow people to contribute to society through jobs etc then perhaps we might be able to live in a harmonious society without terrorism.

Terrorist movements are present all over the globe.Initially there is a grievance for the affected population. But does the amount of force and destruction unleashed by the terrorists on people around the world justify its methods. I certainly am not in agreement with their methods. In the name of security so many people who follow the rules are having their freedoms and rights being thwarted. There might be a political reason but the ends don't justify the means.
