Do you think it is funny to hear this?

A strange thing happened to Henry yesterday.He was on a bus and wanted to get off.So he stood up and rang the bell. To make sure the driver heard him he rang it twice ,but the bus didnot stop,and the conductor came and shouted at him.
The conductor was so annoyed,and spoke so fast,that Henry didnot understand a word.The bus stopped at the next bus stop and Henry got off he heard someone saying,"I think he's a forginer."
When Henry got home, he told his landlady about the incident.
" How many times did you ring the bell?"She asked.
"Twice,"said Henry.
" Well,that's the signal for the driver to go on,"his landlady expained."Only the conductor is allowed to ring the bell twice.That's why he got so annoyed."

I don't think that it is funny because Henry got yelled by the conductor. I never heard ringing twice is a conductor sin to go on. I guess different place has different rules then. It is strange that Henry didn't know about the rules already. Has he take a bus before?
