who had been working in odesk?

the site is famous for hiring people to work on other people by contractual works. i just wonder how much you guys earn here and how's it working there. i am a member of odesk and i had no work there since i don't know how.mind sharing it here?thanks in advance.

Hi. I also joined ODesk hoping to get some freelance work but I came to realise that new-comers are not favoured. You will see on work you want to bid on that the other bidders have high 'rankings' some are even companies. I don't think it will be a viable source of income for me but it may work for you. Try bidding on a few jobs and see what happens. Just search for jobs you are interested in and then submit your bid.

i am in o desk for a long time aand i dont have any job accept in there,you can try microworkers or something like mturk or get job on my lot wit they task

I have also been registered with odesk and after registering you have to take their exams and then you are required to download and install their log in counter, so it means that everytime you worked with them, you are always been watched.and i don't like working with contract bases or with time schedule, i just like working on my free time only.

Personally I try to avoid contract-based work. For the main reason its not a gareented source of stable income. Contract work is also known as commission work. Meaning you don't get paid untill or unless you get and complete a contract. Then and only then you get a persentage for the amount of effort you put into it. If you're looking for it being your meal ticket, I'm sorry but you may not earn anything unless you get a project agreement and complete it properly.
