Yes, and why not? We are here exactly that for- to meet new people. But as I newly understand, most of the people add you as a friend, just to have more people, who are reading their posts. I think that is not so good. If your response or discussion is really good, then people will read and respomd in them.

Yes, that is the essence here. I add friends not for the purpose of having my posts read by a number of my friends, if not all of them. Personally, I do not only respond to my friends' discussion but to any topic which I found to be interesting. I observe some of my friends' posts and based on that, I switch on/off the alert button. In actual friends, I have different degrees of closeness to my friends. Here, it is more of the level of interest and how relevant and intellectual a post is.

Yes, I do. But before I do that, I check the profile out of curiosity. I am also curious from what country he is and how old, if specified. For me, it is a good feeling to know that people take the effort of requesting to be my friends. Almost all my friends now were the ones initiating the invitation except for a very few. I remember having invited one to be my friend because I found that he always posts topics which are intellectual and thought-provoking.

hi,it is not pointing out the issue..i had 40 friends and all i got friend requests from their end..i used to see their profile for knowing gender..country,thinking that those details may use in future while posting responses to them..but i accept all requests without fail..

Yes I do, I usually accept all the friends request I get, as it is not going to do any kind of harm, but we may get benifited by these friends by sharing our views. Like they will respond to our discussions, or comment on our views, can share their ways of earnings etc. So I accept all the request without bothering anythig. And usualy send the friend request to the ones whose thoughts I like,if they accept good if not then also good.

Yes I do.I have no reservations about having friends here and so far have not been let down in any way.So I do not intend to stop either.
