Sreesanth is a very good bowler.Ofcourse he has got the talent and special skills. But he had fell into somany contraversies in the past. The main problem is that he losses his control in the control. There are so many examples for this.
This was the last chance to him from the selectors side. And it was his need to prove himself and he done it in better way.

I think this was the last chance given by selectors to Sreesanth. He has grabbed it with both hands with his performance which was fantastic today. I think it is really a showcase of his talent that on a pitch that other bowlers have looked vastly ineffective, he has been causing so much trouble to players!!
Cheers!

There is no evidence to say they did a great job. There were bowlers who did better than Sreesanth in the domestic circuit. But the selectors put their trust in Sreesanth and just like any selection decision its a gamble. Their Gamble paid off so it may look like a great decision. I would have considered it as a great decision if they would have rested Ishant sharma and taken Sresanth in with maybe another pace bowler from the domestic circuit. Mind it, if nehra had opted to play Sreesanth would not have got a chance in. So I would rather see Selectors take active decisions in case of giving chance to new players or players out of international cricket and not be dependent on someones injury or decision not to play. I think Ishant should have taken a clue from nehra and decided to sit out of this series so that he could get his confidence back by playing some domestic matches or even county.
In short there was no great job done by selectors in giving Sreesanth a chance but their decision has proved to be very fruitful for the team because of the performance Sreesanth has given in Kanpurs docile pitch.

SreeSanth had proven his talent quite a bit. I don't think that his talents are concealable and the Indian selectors did a great job by selecting him and showing some extra confidence in him. His accurate bowling line and length and uncompromising consistency always results in his magic spell.
