Last night I was accepting a friend request when it dawned on me that its been a while since I lst sent out a friend request.I mean I have been on mylot for about two yrs now and I think the last time I sent out a request was last year.I must admit that when I started I was really excited about sending friend request and sent out many but as time went by I guess I forgot tabout that aspect and concentarted on posting .Dont get me wrong ,its not that I havent met persons who I would like to be frends ,its just that adding friends hasnt been on the forefront of my mind. So when was the last time you added a friend ? and what usually motivates you do so so ?

Hi, ronnyb. I sent out one on yesterday. I usually send a friend a request if they have made a comment to my discussion that I appreciated. And if they seem like a nice person to be friends with. I don't send out as many friend requests as I would like to. But, I do a whole lot of accepting them.

What motivates me, common interests. I have a new friend who loves hockey as much as I. she respondedc to my post and before I could request her, she requested me, Of course I said yes and it has been fun talking to her.

I seldom send a friend request. Usually I just accept others' requests:) If I send out a friend request, be sure I have a good impression to this friend and really hope to make friends. I love China

I haven't added a friend in a very long time, with the exception of last week when a new comer made a post about wanting more friends. Before that I had not made a friend request in about a year!

I actually just sent one right before coming across your post. If I find a discussion that interests me then I normally want to befriend whomever started the discussions. Also, if someone responds to my discussions and I really like what they have to say or I feel like I have alot in common with them then I will send a request. I also love logging into my MyLot account and seeing that someone wants to be my friend. It really excites me that someone is interested in me. I'm happy that I'm already a friend of yours here on MyLot, but if I hadn't already been your friend, then I would have just sent you a friend request!

I sent out a friend request a couple of days ago. I don’t request friends as often as I used to when I first started here because I find that I receive a lot more requests than what I used to when I first joined which is really nice. These days I ask for someone’s friendship whenever I come across a discussion or a response that strikes a chord with me and it is apparent that the other member and I may share interests, a similar lifestyle etc. I have never regretted a request I have made and I treasure all my friendships here.

Whenever I find a person other than in my friends list responds to my discussion, I just look at his/her profile and if I felt something good about him/her, I add him/her as my friend.... I think 2 weeks before I request a person to add me as his friend...

Like you,I have stopped sending friend request for a long time.Earlier,it was fun to get so many friends and I learned that it doesn't make any sense to have more friends, just like that. But still,I don't refuse any request from other members. At the same time I don't encourage people with zero posts sending requests.Right now,I have two of them and I have kept them ignored.

hi,ronny, since i joined ,i never sent a single friend request to any mylot member[joined 3 months back]but i accepted the first friend request immediately after my joining was francisco1981 ..and the latest one i accepted is sherrypeck19822001 just 1 hour back on this day.Who ever send friend request,i accept, just after gone through their profile as formality and i also see their blogs,if any.For this i won't calculate any motivation. Have a nice day.

hi ronnyb yesterday no this morning come to think of it, I added a friend as I had wanted t o comment on a photo of his and my lot would not let me unless I was his friend so he asked and I accepted of course. almost all the time people come to me asking to be myfriend and being a softie I seldom refuse. That is not really in the forefront of my mind but posting is. happy mylotting.
