I have never been black friday shopping but I know that there are some really good deals out there, I have just not been one that has ever been much into the crowds and getting up so early. This year I was able to get all of my shopping done months early all I have left it to do all the wrapping and I am not looking forward to that at all LOL So what about you do you go black friday shopping? Are you going this year? If so, what deals are you hoping to get?

I have not been Black Friday shopping in probably 5 or 6 years, mostly because we didn't have the money or the time, or my husband had to work and I had the kids.
I went today though. I got a V-Smile for $30, it's usually like $50 or $60, and a game to go with it for $10. I also got a pair of pajamas for each of my kids for only $3 each, a blu ray movie for my hubby for $10, and a couple toys for my daughter for less than $10 each. Not a whole lot, I know, and none of the big ticket items people usually go for, but every little bit helps. In a little while I plan on dropping my kids off at my mother's and going to Toys R Us for this Diego toy they had that my 3 year old would love, and then back to Walmart to do grocery shopping and pick through anything else they may have left over.

I grabbed up on a bunch of the $10 deals too but not on black friday. My daughter is a big fan of Littlest Petshops so I bought her a couple of the online stuffed animals for her. I would love to grab up the deals without having to worry about the crowds and having to get up that early. Soumds like your kids are going to get some really nice gifts....Thanks for your response kats.

You finally said where you were at the end. But I was going to say that you went to Wal-Mart because I got a couple of the same deals. You can't beat the $3 pajamas. I got two pairs for each of my kids and it wasn't even on my shopping list to start with. Was the WalMart that you were at a complete mad house too? There was actually a fist fight at the one that I went to over Rock Star.

I'm like you can't deal with the crowds and don't want to get up so early. I don't want to deal with people and their craziness that overcomes them when they are trying to get the last toy on the self.

Hello lelin, I had a friend that just went this past year. Her and her boyfriend were going to go to Sears and buy a set of those stand up washer and dryers, well they got there about 3 am and ended up being about the sixth people in line..well anyways to make a long story short they ended up waiting out in the cold for a few hours only to have the doors open and some older lady run over her toes with a cart and not apologizing then getting to the back of the store and being told that they(Sears) are only allowed to sell four washer and dryer set per store. I was like "What" and I wasn't even to one who waited in line in the cold all night....to me that extra $100 saving isn't worth it to me. Thanks for your response lelin and have a great holiday

I never heard of such a thing. Only allowed to sell 4 sets per store. Doesn't Sears want to make money this holiday season. Yes its definitely not worth it. Especially standing in the cold for hours. Thanks for responding.

I have been shopping on Black Friday before. Now I avoid it altogether. I have finished for the kids. Still need to get for hubby. But the lines today are insane. And so are some of the people. So I am still in pj's taking it easy.

That is how I want to spend my black friday to not in a cramped crazy mall or super center. Of course there are always those gifts that would be great to snag up on black friday for a great price but I just wish it wasn't so nutsy. Thanks for your response ersmommy
By the way you two little ones look so cute in your new picture....

We wanted to go but did not get home last night until 1130pm. We were exhausted. If we went it would be to Walmart to try to get the laptop, the gps, and a sewing machine. Oh well, gotta watch the sales now. I have none of my Christmas shopping done yet.

I saw that they had some really good deals on their laptops and I might of snagged one up if I hadn't already had one that I bought last year. I like to do most of my shopping for Christmas after Christmas or after the season is over when things are on sale..and I don't have to worry about crowds and can go at any hour I want. Thanks for your response trvlarrngr

I'm doing Black Friday shopping now for 2 years but online. I usually aim at the jewelry sales at Amazon, Overstock or Ebay. I get these little gifts for my daughters, my sister and mother. I've never been to the shops and all that stuff of crowds and gettin up early on Black Friday. I guess I do a Black Friday shopping of my own at home.

I like to do my shopping online as well and I think if I were to do any sort of black friday shopping that would be how I would go. I don't know if you can get as good of deals as you can at the store but I know there are some good ones online too. I think overstock is a great site to check out. I like going through mypoints all year and then I will cash in my points and use them for gift cards and I usually end up getting them for overstock and walmart...Thanks for your response involved

That is how I would probably be, set the alarm and hit the snooze a few different times before I ever got up. I have heard other people say that the sales people are annoying in "selling" before. I don't understand that, just let a person shop I hate when the sales people come up and ask if they can help you and then seem to follow you around while you shop....annoying!!! Hello hatley, I could only imagine waht crowds are like for you, I have two working legs and I hate them LOL I do have neuropathy nerve damage due to my diabetes and I know after about 30 minutes of walking and standing they are sore as heck. We have 99 cent store in our mall here but it is like a 30 minute drive to get there so i will just go to places like walmart but I like to get in and out crowd or no crowd
Thanks for your response Hatley and have a great holiday

Well, I've got about an hour and a half before I am going to be out the door to do my Black Friday shopping. I'm meeting my brother and sister-in-law at the Wal-Mart that is just down the street from my house and we are going to load up a cart together. As for me, I'm getting a Tinkerbell comforter for my daughter and a Cars comforter for my son. Also, if Wal-Mart is going to match the doorbuster prices on Littlest Petshop figures that Meijers has, I am hoping to get some of those for my daughter as well. I've been a Black Friday shopper since before it was known as Black Friday. I remember being a child and going shopping with my mother and grandma on the day after Thanksgiving.

I went Black Friday shopping quite a few years ago, but I remember it well because it was so chaotic. We chose Best Buy as our first store because they had some great deals on electronics that year. I stood in line for about five hours at least, but it was a fun experience. I have not been shopping on Black Friday since because I either don't feel like getting up and fighting the crowds, or I can get a similar deal online.

I am sure there are some really great deals out there and I might consider going if I perhaps had something that I needed and they had a great deal on it. To me it is just too cold, early and crowded to go shopping on Thanks for your response Torrs and have a great holiday
